- Rated 3 out of 5by DreamPhreak, 20 days agoDoesn't seem to apply preferred resolution setting. Also the "auto play next video" setting didn't actually play the next video. On one page, the settings it was applying to change the video player size glitched out and the page was all wonky; I had to refresh for it to fix.

- Rated 3 out of 5by 4color, a year agoVery useful extension, but I deduct 2 stars because
1. The mobile version doesn't work
2. The extension is licensed under GPL3, but where is the source code? - Rated 3 out of 5by fatrat73, a year agoWorks great except when I click the extension to open its settings, it does not open on the current version of Firefox Developer Edition.
- Rated 3 out of 5by OhhhhNoooo, a year agoWorking ONLY in desktop mode. Only plays default 360 mode in mobile. Note 20 Ultra 5G system and browser fully updated.
- Rated 3 out of 5by D4ngrs, a year agoUsing it for a long long time. Sadly, since the last update and as mentioned by others, I have to disable and enable it again everytime I start my browser, otherwise it's not working.
After doing so, it will work until you fully close the browser.
With fixing this, I'll give it a full 5-Star because it's just so usefull. - Rated 3 out of 5by Andralon, a year agoOct/23
Every time I start the browser I have to disable and then re-enable the add on, otherwise the icon in the task bar is non responsive. This was not happening when I installed the addon.

Edit:
The problem mentioned above is still not fixed.
Additionally:
Now the enabled option "Auto expand video description box" lets the screen jump to the expanded description box instead of staying focused on the video.
Still usable. - Rated 3 out of 5by Deniz, a year agoextension is not full potential working.. you cannot click to shortcut. only way to click is open in extension menu and press off and on to this extension. but its only one time usable. after that again this problem occurs. please fix it.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Kougeru, a year agoReduced from 5 to 3 stars due to recent issues. Setting to 8k doesn't seem to do anything if the video is not 8k. Instead of just loading the next highest, it defaults to 720p for some reason. Setting to 4k does not have this problem. Setting to 4k will load videos at 1440p or 1080p if 4k is not available.
Needs to add support for "Premium" quality. YT Premium quality loads videos in vp9 at literally 3x~ the bitrate of regular 1080p. In the cases where Premium is available, non-premium is in AV1 at less than 1 Mbps. - Rated 3 out of 5by Nathan Gamble, a year agoThis addon is extremely useful, but has recently started having significant problems which make it much less usable.
About a week ago, the youtube HD options stopped appearing when I click on the icon in my Firefox toolbar, until I go to the addons manager and turn the addon off and then turn it on again.
Can this issue be explained or fixed? - Rated 3 out of 5by Kr0m, a year agoVersion : 118.0.5 (22 septembre 2023)
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17514500, 2 years ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by A. Glez. B., 3 years agoIt has only one issue: when playing the next video in a playlist for some reason causes the window to scroll down which leaves the top of the video hidden. This is not a minor issue and that's very unfortunate because this extension would be perfect otherwise.
EDIT 1: Reading back the review several users reported the same issue, some over a year ago.
EDIT 2: Workaround by commenting the scrollTo function in ythd.js and disabling auto-update. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17377188, 3 years ago
