Version 1.1.0
Released Mar 16, 2026 - 22.13 KBWorks with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and laterVersion 1.1.0
This update introduces improved detection and visual indicators for potentially risky hyperlinks.
VerifiedLink now distinguishes between two types of suspicious links:
Deceptive links
Links where the visible domain appears to point to one site but the actual destination is different.
These links are marked with a solid red underline.
Hidden-destination links
Links that hide the destination behind generic text such as “Click here”, “Login”, or “Verify account”.
These links are marked with an orange dotted underline to indicate that the destination is not visible to the user.
These visual indicators help users quickly identify links that may conceal or misrepresent their destination.

Previously, VerifiedLink marked deceptive links with a surrounding red border. In some page layouts this could interfere with nearby links or appear visually heavy.
