    🦊 Browser Compatibility & Connection
    • Universal Browser Fix: Resolved the persistent "Could not connect to VaultKeeper app" error affecting Firefox, Zen Browser, and other Gecko-based browsers.
    • Implemented global stdout redirection to prevent native messaging protocol corruption.
    • Eliminated interference from background logs and third-party library output.
    • Zen Browser Support: Added official support for Zen Browser, including automatic detection of XDG configuration paths (~/.config/zen).
    • Connection Repair Tool: Added a new "Browser Connection" section in Settings > General with a "Repair Connection" button to automatically fix extension issues without reinstalling.
    • Native Host Fixes: Fixed an Unknown action: update_credentials error when updating passwords from the extension by aliasing the action to the save handler.

    🛡️ Security & 2FA
    • Integrated TOTP Support:
    • Added new fields for 2FA Secret and Backup Codes in the "New Item" / "Edit Item" modal.
    • The extension now automatically fetches and fills the current TOTP code when using "Auto-Fill".
    • Enhanced Credential Form: Redesigned the "New Item" popup with a more compact, horizontal layout for better usability.

    Navigation & Layout
    • Tabbed Sidebar: Introduced a new tabbed navigation system at the top of the sidebar. You can now switch seamlessly between All Items, Credit Cards, and Secure Notes from any view, replacing the previous bottom navigation bar.
    • Note Detail Header: Redesigned the Secure Note header to place action buttons (Edit, Copy as MD, Delete) inline with the title, maximizing vertical space.
    • Split-View Fixes: Resolved layout issues where navigating directly between Cards and Notes could cause view overlapping.

    Performance & Data Management
    • Smart Caching: Implemented a background in-memory cache to minimize redundant requests to the desktop application, significantly speeding up navigation within the extension.
    • Manual Sync: Added a Refresh button to the main toolbar. This allows you to force a data synchronization with the desktop app without logging out.
    • Optimized Loading: Data is now served instantly from cache when navigating back and forth, only fetching from disk when necessary (e.g., after edits or on valid cache expiry).

    • State Persistence: The extension remembers your last active section (Cards, Notes, or Logins) and restores it when you reopen the popup.
