- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 14769474, 5 years agoGood addon, but it uses a lot RAM and ruins my browsing experience because of it. (I usually have a lot of tabs open).
- Rated 2 out of 5by HonestReviews, 5 years ago4-25-24 downgraded one star. Many sites are blocking it from functioning, including popular gab.com Slow to load and slow to work
12-28-23 Though still the best addon out there, is getting worse. Slow to call up selection box. Slow to mark parts of page to nuke, sometimes requiring three options to get a usuable reeult. Developer should rewrite code to automatically try the three selection options and use the one that works. But that may be too hard to do. Some pages appear to be incorporating their ad crap into the regular page code such that if you nuke the ad the page won't work right.
7-4-23 update: Gotten worse. Too Slow to respond. Doesn't work will all pages, developers have wisened up to it's tactics. Still no easy way to report pages that it does not work on. Just too damn slow to respond.
5-2-23: A lot slower than it used to be and may require multiple requests to get it to work. Some pages it will not work on as they keep repeating the offending ad over and over and addon has no effect.
10-2-22: no to easily report the sites it does not work on which are becoming more frequent.
8-1-22: demoted it one star because it cannot get rid of the popup on date in asia for cookies, not recognized by the program. Also no easy way I can find to report pages on which is DOES NOT WORK. Still the best ad blocker out there tho.
6-25-22: One of the VERY FEW addons that is really good. Some room for improvement. Websites are smart, they try to defeat it by making many small image adds requiring you block each on, a time waster. There are a few sites that cannot be blocked but very few. Need a way to report those?
Wish this developer did ALL addons cuz most of the others are crap/malware. Congratulations to the developer of this addon. good work.
UPDATE 9-29-21: A near perfect program that lately has some bugs. On site gab.com when you try to block an image/ad it will not display and HOLD the display long enough to select the filter for it. IOW, you select the image, the corresponding filter select either does not show up or you cannot put focus on it as it will then disappear, disallowing your attempt to select it for future blocking. Does not matter if you use the pen select icon or the lighting bold icon to select the image, result is the same,-cannot maintain box showing the filter for adding/saving it.
update 3-31-20. would now rate it one star less cuz it it asking for access to your IP to update it=not going to happen. Not giving them my ip. sorry.
best ad blocker available, easy to use, get rid of all the crap these idiot forum and other admins put on their page. Fast and quick. DO NOT CHANGE/FIX IT, it works good now. - Rated 2 out of 5by anonius, 5 years ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 14659722, 5 years agoTakes way too long on startup. Adds at least 5 seconds when launching browser, even if ublock is disabled for that site.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13280059, 6 years ago1.13.8 - due to FX web extension change. Updates are OFF. Then today for no reason, this addon stopped BUTTONs showing on multitude of website e.g. vitalsource.com. Took me 2hrs to troubleshoot. Who has 2hrs to spend because and addon does something funky on you. It was controlling hardware acceleration somehow...
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 12934307, 6 years agoStarting to become obsolete. Popular and progressive websites are getting smarter and their ad spaces are nullifying uBlock's element blocker. You can zap countless times and the same add will reappear on every refresh. :(

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 14136520, 6 years agoHad no problems since months with uBlock origin, great Addon. But since 3-4 days and version 1.16.10 it slows down my firefox completely! CPU use with 50-70 %. Everthing freezes. Youtube sites are not longer usable. I had to deactivate the Addon. And I can see, I am not the only one who has these problems. No reaction here from the authors! I use firefox ESR 52.9.0 (32-Bit) on Ubuntu Studio / Xfce.
Also version 1.16.12 does not solve the thing. So, please fix these problems fast! I need my adblocker. ;) Thanks!
P.S. It was also not possible to update the filters. I tried several times, but no reaction, just "turning circles" symbols.
