About this extension
Tab Group Unloader adds a one-click “Unload Tab Group” action to grouped tabs in Firefox. Right-click any tab inside a group and unload the whole group using Firefox’s native tab discard functionality, so you can reduce memory usage without closing tabs or losing your place.
The add-on is group-scoped: it only targets tabs in the selected group (and window). It skips tabs Firefox cannot discard (for example, currently active tabs), and it updates group titles with a clear status indicator like [U:3/8] to show unloaded vs total tabs at a glance. Built-in debug logging is also available for troubleshooting and verification.
This extension does not collect, store, or transmit personal data.
