About this extension
StudyCog Web Capture sends content from the page you are reading straight into your StudyCog library.
Two ways to capture:
Capture screenshot - drag a rectangle over any part of the page (or place the box with the arrow keys if you prefer not to drag). The area is saved as a screenshot in StudyCog and the text in it is recognised automatically.
Capture text - highlight text on the page first, then capture it. The text is saved as a text capture in your StudyCog library with the page address and title attached. Text captures from the same page are grouped together.
A message on the page confirms each capture the moment it saves, and after your first capture a small quick-capture control stays on that page so repeat captures do not need the toolbar. Dismiss it any time.
Keyboard shortcuts: press Alt+Shift+S to start a screenshot capture and Alt+Shift+T to capture your highlighted text (Option+Shift+S and Option+Shift+T on Mac) - no popup needed. Remap them under Add-ons and themes, then the gear menu, then Manage Extension Shortcuts; the popup always shows the current keys.
Everything lands in the Captures area of your StudyCog library, linked back to the original page.
Built for accessibility: the popup mirrors your StudyCog colour scheme (including custom colours), every control works from the keyboard including the capture shortcuts, the area picker has a no-drag alternative, and capture confirmations are announced to screen readers and respect reduced motion.
Getting started:
You need a StudyCog account. Captures are always started by you - the extension never reads a page or sends anything on its own.
