About this extension
Stop escaping. Start finishing.
Stryx sits between you and your distraction habits. When you open YouTube, Reddit, TikTok, or any site on your blocklist, it shows you your own task list and asks which one you're working on. Pick one, and Stryx gets out of your way. Skip it, and it guilt-trips you on the way through.
How it works
- Add tasks to your queue — plain text or a saved tab
- When you visit a blocked site, Stryx intercepts and shows your pending tasks
- Pick a task to commit to it — a floating button tracks your session
- When you're done, rate the difficulty (Easy / Medium / Hard) and mark it complete - Your daily work time is tracked so you can see how much you actually got done vs how much time you lost to distraction
Designed to be hard to cheat
- Removing a site from the blocklist takes 24 hours to take effect
- Stayed too long on a distraction site? Stryx interrupts and asks you to come back
- Left a work tab idle for too long? It checks in to see if you're still working
Respects your autonomy
- No tasks in your queue = no interruption
- You can always choose not to work — but Stryx will make sure you know you made that choice
- All data stays on your device. Nothing is collected or transmitted.
Works on: YouTube, Netflix, Reddit, Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok, Threads — plus any sites you add.
