Startup Tracker enables you to get a quick overview of any startup you read or hear about. It provides live-search over leading startup information databases such as CrunchBase, AngelList and Product Hunt and lets you crowdsource missing information by clicking the magic 'Ask startup' button. Startup profiles can be annotated and saved to Evernote in 1 click.

Whether you are an entrepreneur, journalist or investor, Startup Tracker is your best friend to keep track of cool, up-and-coming and competing startups:

• View company info for the website you are browsing by clicking on the extension icon
• Search for a startup by highlighting its name on any webpage and clicking the extension icon, or search for it manually on the extension homepage
• Use the 'Ask startup' button to crowdsource any missing startup profile field
• Discover trending and newly crowdsourced startup profiles on the extension home screen

(“Startup Tracker”, “we” or “us”) created this privacy policy to demonstrate our commitment to fair information practices and the protection of your privacy as you visit the startuptracker.io website (the “Site”) and use the Startup Tracker applications (the “Apps”). We reserve the right, at any time, to add to, change, update, or modify this privacy policy, simply by posting such change, update, or modification on the Site and notifying you via the email you provided to create a Startup Tracker account. Any such change, update, or modification will be effective immediately upon sending of the email notification. It is your responsibility to review this privacy policy from time to time to ensure that you continue to agree with all of its terms.

The Site and Apps may gather anonymous “traffic data” that does not personally identify you, but that may be helpful for improving the services we offer. We may use anonymous information to analyze Site traffic and App usage, but we do not examine this information for individually identifying purposes. In addition, we may use anonymous IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our servers and to display the Site and App content according to your preferences.

You do not have to give us any of your personal information to access the Site and are required to provide a valid email address to use the Apps. By creating a Startup Tracker account, you agree for your email to be added to our newsletter periodically informing you about updates to the Startup Tracker product, on every email an unsubscribe link can be found in the footer should you wish to do so. If you choose to create a Startup Tracker account, all information we gather about you, including your email and access tokens to connect Startup Tracker to third party services, will be kept secure and confidential. We will not share or sell any of your information with third parties.

We do not knowingly collect or save any information from children under the age of 13.

We may use cookies to improve your experience using the Site. These cookies do not generally allow us to personally identify a specific user.

We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to (1) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Startup Tracker, (2) protect and defend the rights or property of Startup Tracker or the users of the Site, or (3) act under exigent circumstances to protect the safety of the public or users of the Site and Apps.

If you follow any of the links you find on the Site or Apps, our privacy policy does not extend to third party sites.
