Son Dark is a restrained dark theme for people who keep a browser open all day. It avoids pure black in favour of layered graphite surfaces, so the interface has real depth instead of a flat void, and it avoids the washed-out gray text that makes many dark themes tiring. Inactive tab labels sit at 8:1 contrast, well above the readability floor. The active tab and toolbar form one continuous surface lifted above a deeper tab strip, the address bar is a slightly lighter recessed field, and a single muted blue accent marks focus and selection. Every text and icon pairing was checked against WCAG contrast targets. There are no background images, no gradients, and no bright colors. Pairs with Son Light.
