   When you use Shotko to upload screenshots:

We store the image files you upload on our servers
Images are automatically watermarked with "shotko.com • by LXB Studio"
Each image receives a unique, randomly-generated 8-character identifier
We do NOT scan, analyze, or extract information from your images
1.2 Technical Data
To provide and protect our service, we automatically collect:

IP Address: Used solely for rate limiting (10 uploads per 24 hours per IP)
Upload Timestamp: To enforce automatic deletion after 7 days
File Size: For storage management
View Count: Optional counter for landing page statistics
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
We explicitly do not collect:

Names, email addresses, or contact information
User accounts or login credentials
Browser fingerprints or tracking cookies
Location data beyond IP address
Payment information (service is free)
2. How We Use Your Information
2.1 Service Provision
Image Storage: To host and serve your uploaded screenshots
Rate Limiting: IP addresses are used to prevent abuse and ensure fair use
Automatic Deletion: Timestamps enable our 7-day auto-delete system
2.2 Service Improvement
Aggregate Statistics: We track total uploads, bandwidth usage, and storage metrics
No Individual Tracking: We do not track individual user behavior or create profiles
2.3 Legal Compliance
We may use or disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

   3.1 Automatic Image Deletion
   All uploaded images are automatically deleted after 7 days
   This is enforced by an automated daily cron job
   Once deleted, images cannot be recovered
   3.2 Technical Data Retention
   IP Addresses: Cleared after 24 hours (rate limit reset)
   Aggregate Statistics: Retained indefinitely (no personal data)
2. Data Security
   We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data:

HTTPS Encryption: All uploads and page views use secure connections
File Validation: Strict file type checking prevents malicious uploads
Access Controls: Upload directory restricts script execution
Rate Limiting: Prevents abuse and DDoS attacks
However: No internet transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

1. Your Privacy Rights
   5.1 Image Control
   You retain full ownership of any images you upload
   Images are public and accessible via direct URL
   To remove an image before the 7-day expiration, contact us with the image ID
   5.2 No Account Required
   Because Shotko does not require accounts, there is no personal profile data to access, modify, or delete. The service is designed for anonymous, temporary screenshot sharing.
2. Third-Party Services
   Shotko does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Your usage of Shotko is not shared with external companies.

1. Children's Privacy
   Shotko is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has uploaded content to Shotko, please contact us immediately.
2. International Users
   Shotko is operated from the United States. If you access Shotko from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States. By using Shotko, you consent to this transfer.
3. Changes to This Privacy Policy
   We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of Shotko after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
