Two ideas:
- if you disable the addon via hotkey or don't use middle mouse button to activate it, it would be logical to be able to use the original functionallity of m3. (Edit: I realised it works, I just accidentaly disabled autoscrolling in the Firefox options)
- while scrolling have a hotkey to reset where you were on the page before clicking, just like with the regular scrollbar if you drag the cursor outside of it's range.

posted 5 years agoHello,
Regarding original functionality of mouse button when disabled key is pressed - this works for me, could you please describe the exact steps to reproduce?
Regarding the second - this sounds like a good idea, like using ESC key to revert to original scrolling point, right? But what do you mean by outside of range?
Please contact me either on my support email or create a bugreport directly here:

Thanks!

I just want to say, recently I had to re-enable it (using the Toolbar Icon, even though it was showing green. Re-enabling the add-on itself made no difference). Perhaps some of the recent negative reviews were experiencing this issue. Developer response
posted 4 months agoHello,
It works by pressing middle mouse button and dragging mouse up/down.
Note that it won't work HERE, on this addons store page (as a security measure, all addons are blocked here).
It's best to test the scrolling in the Options page.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Ran, 4 months agoIt's been randomly buggy for a good while, but today it became a complete mess. Scrolling position is almost never remembered when switching tabs back and forth, moving the position around, sometimes rolling it back to a previous position, sometimes seemingly at random, and sometimes it manages to create impossible situations like a zoomed picture ending up with blank edges from over-scrolling past the entire picture.
Sadly it seems to be the only functioning addon that does what it does, but it desperately needs an update.Developer response
posted 4 months agoHello Ran,
There have not been any update mostly because everything works same as before, and there were not a lot of new feature requests.
Note that "remembering scroll position" is not something that would my addon do. It only scrolls the page as a direct result of user action (mouse move while scrolling button is down). I think browser should remember scroll position automatically.
Also "zoomed picture" is very unlikely related to this addon.
And over-scrolling is again, something a page should handle (some pages are badly designed with overflowing elements outside the boundaries).
Maybe you have also some other scroll related addons that breaks these?
