About this extension
ReddiTab changes what happens when you click a Reddit post. Instead of navigating your current tab away from the feed, the post opens in a new tab in the background. You stay on the list and keep scrolling, and the posts you clicked are waiting for you in their own tabs.

It works the way middle-click or ctrl-click already does, except it is the default for a normal click, and it works on mobile where those shortcuts are not available.
  • Click any post in the feed and it opens in a new background tab.
  • Your place in the feed never moves.
  • Queue up several posts by clicking them in a row, then read them one by one.
  • Firefox on desktop.
  • Firefox for Android. Reddit's mobile site behaves the same way, and clicked posts open in the background there too.
  • It does not collect, store, or send any data. There is no tracking and no analytics.
  • It does not require any special permissions. It only runs on reddit.com.
  • Normal browser shortcuts still work: middle-click, ctrl-click, and cmd-click behave exactly as they always have.

The extension runs a small script on reddit.com that detects when you click a post link and asks the browser to open that link in a background tab. Nothing else on the page is affected, and the post's own vote, share, and comment buttons keep working normally.
