- Rated 2 out of 5by Lucas, 12 days agoThe good point is that it reads smoothly. It highlights the paragraphs, which is helpful, but not the words being read. Therefore it is difficult for me to know where in the paragraph we are, if I want to start follow the reading at any point of the flow.
It opens a little window on the top right of the browser and this window closes down if you click somewhere else. This is not useful if you like to take notes while being shown where in the text the reading is happening.
No images are shown in that window, only text. Therefore sometimes I don't know to which picture I should look at in the original page (in the text sometimes it says "...as demonstrated in the picture on the left"). I tried to scroll down on the original text whenever I heard that but then the little window would close and I'd lost myself once again. Too much cognitive load.
In my opinion it would be best if the read aloud took place in the original page, not in a popup window. - Rated 2 out of 5by KlowIsHere, 23 days agoVery robotic voice, and it always cuts the last syllable of each paragraph.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 15291916, 3 months agoA screen reader that only works on some sites, and not others, has limited usefulness. Would be better if it could run here, but its options don't even show the "Run on sites with restrictions" option as it ought to.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13561607, 6 months agoOnly 1 voice available, which sounds *very* robotic and hard to listen to.
- Rated 2 out of 5by max.tela, 7 months agoIt is a cool idea and helps a lot with my dyslexia. But it works properly less than half of the time.
1. Detecting the text correctly, especially on websites where text is separated by other content or when there are multiple columns.
2. Often the reading out does not stop when click pause or stop, I have to close all Firefox windows to make the reading out stop. - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 15621291, 8 months agoThe voice is good, but the controls don't do jack. The pause button does absolutely nothing ever, and the second time I tried the add on the highlighted text didn't match what was being read (no idea where in the document it was reading from) and this time I had to close the browser entirely to make it stop reading.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Indigetes, 9 months agoIt sort of works, except when it doesn't. Not taking into account how robotic it sounds, in just a few minutes I got 2 instances reading the web, each at a different point and no way to stop either other than closing the browser.

- Rated 2 out of 5by zero, 10 months agothe voice was really hard to listen to, it was almost comical. i tried out many of the voices and all of the quality was way more difficult to understand than siri (as a point of reference).
- Rated 2 out of 5by Oleg, 10 months agoOnce started, the app is impossible to control or stop, the only way is to disable it and re-enable it or to stop Firefox. Changing the voice doesn't change the voice, it's very difficult to operate for someone who isn't used to constantly adjusting options.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Ranee C, a year agoWorks great to speed up reading of homework and long winded reading assignments for class. If you can stand the fake voice. It works best if you select a little bit of text at a time. It has a habit of repeating pages frequently. You can not select all then have it read back all. it will get confused or max out at the allowed character limit for reading back. I honestly wish there were more options out there. Over the years it was difficult to find stuff like this. I was allowed to use a text to speech program in school but it was the approved ones. Now a days due to visually impaired people it is required by dshs law to have it on your computer. I am glad more options are out there than there use to be. Speech to text programs are awesome. My typing speed is so slow these programs have increased my productivity. These are pretty reasonable requests to request for.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13509920, a year agoNo Farsi? Language spoken in Iran & Afghanistan.
Please Add Persian language too. It is the same alphabet as Arabic - different pronunciation. - Rated 2 out of 5by user-46274, a year agoIn theory great, but it doesn't even allow me to log in to use premium voices on Android. The login button just doesn't do anything.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18077672, a year agoYou cannot turn the software on and off, as there is no control button. Even when you disable it in the addon page, every time you highlight a text it begins to read it. It lasted an hour on my laptop before being deleted. The voices are also unbearable.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Marty, a year agoUnfortunately, this extension can not access Google Translate after a short time, because of the German voice. The error message is failed to fetch Google Translate.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 17601223, a year agoThe pause button doesn't work very well and getting it to read from anywhere but the start is difficult.
- Rated 2 out of 5by avtolik, a year agoI have two major problems with this extension. First it is buggy - sometimes I run it to read a site and cant stop it. I try to start another site and stop it but doesn't work every time.
Also it is not working when autoplay is disabled. Even when the site is in the exceptions list. - Rated 2 out of 5by 髪良七八, a year agoFailed to interrupt current reading when trying to read another document
- Rated 2 out of 5by Faze, 2 years agoGreat extension in Chrome but sucks in Firefox. Sometimes it doesn't stop playing, lots of times you can't select where to read from, like the way it can in Chrome, and other buggy stuff that doesn't exist in Chrome. The worst part is that they only give you one free voice and it's a woman's voice. In the world of equality, we should be able to be allowed a different gender's voice (a male's voice) without having to pay for it as a premium feature. It old style mentality that will eventually bite them in the butt.
