About this extension
RatBlocker filters ads and trackers entirely on your device. A Rust core compiled to WebAssembly applies EasyList and EasyPrivacy rules inside the browser, so nothing about your browsing leaves your machine — there is no account, no cloud relay, no telemetry, and no HTTPS interception.
It also prunes in-video ad decisions out of YouTube player responses before the player reads them, so pre-rolls and mid-rolls do not start. Cosmetic element hiding removes the empty boxes ads leave behind.
Filter lists update with the extension, and everything is open source under the GPL.
