Protocol Cartographer by hanhruiroc

Protocol Cartographer is an offline laboratory for understanding an HTTP workflow from a HAR capture without replaying a single request.

Import a HAR file and the extension clusters requests into normalized endpoint templates, summarizes methods, statuses, timing, and observed request-body shapes, and lays the sequence onto an interactive traffic map. Scalar response values are traced into later request paths, query parameters, headers, and JSON bodies to expose likely dependencies between operations. Sequence and endpoint behavior are also converted into an explainable protocol-state model with confidence scoring.

The findings pass highlights server failures, slow requests, sensitive query parameters, mutation requests without an idempotency key, and repeated mutations. A second HAR can be loaded for a local structural comparison. Endpoint filters, timeline zoom, request inspection, dependency details, state transitions, and inferred JSON schemas help users move from overview to individual evidence.

Before analysis output is retained or exported, known sensitive headers, cookie values, sensitive query parameters, and sensitive JSON keys are redacted. Raw imported HAR data is kept only in the open extension page's memory; localStorage receives only a small summary containing the capture name and aggregate counts. A user-triggered export creates a sanitized HAR and analytical report bundle. A bundled synthetic checkout capture demonstrates every major view.

Protocol Cartographer has no traffic listener and cannot intercept, replay, modify, or send web requests. It uses no remote code, server, account, telemetry, or analytics.
