About this extension
Phishguard turns every analyst's webmail into a one-click phishing-reporting cockpit. Built for security teams who need their users to be the first line of defence.

One click, every webmail

Open a suspicious email in any supported webmail and a Report to Phishguard button appears in the message toolbar. One click sends the email to your security team for analysis — no copy-paste, no forwarding, no leaving the inbox.

Supported webmails
  • Gmail (web)
  • Roundcube — including cPanel / Octenium / OVH-hosted installs
  • Horde IMP — legacy enterprise + university deployments
  • Zimbra Collaboration Suite
  • SnappyMail and legacy RainLoop

What your users see
  • A floating Report to Phishguard pill on the email they are reading
  • Confirmation that the report reached the security team
  • Verdicts appear in their inbox as labels once the SOC team reviews

What your security team gets
  • Centralised dashboard with every reported email
  • Automatic phishing analysis, threat scoring, and IOC matching
  • Real-time verdict updates pushed back to the reporter
  • Simulation detection for KnowBe4, Cofense, Gophish, LucySecurity, Microsoft Attack Simulator, Proofpoint Awareness, Sophos PhishThreat, and TrendMicro Phish Insight — no chasing your own drills

Privacy by design
  • Email content is read only when the user clicks Report — never in the background
  • The extension does not track which sites users visit
  • Reports go directly from the browser to your organisation's Phishguard tenant — SocShield does not receive your data
  • Your endpoint URL and API key are stored locally in encrypted browser sync storage
  • No advertising, no analytics, no profiling, no model training

Configuration
  1. Get an API key from your Phishguard tenant (Settings → API Keys → New Key)
  2. Click the Phishguard icon in your browser toolbar
  3. Paste your tenant URL and API key, click Save & verify
  4. Open any supported webmail — the Report button appears automatically
