Online Repository Assistant - Helps genealogical researchers use Ancestry, FamilySearch, and other online repositories.
Extension Metadata

ORA extracts record details from pages on Ancestry.com, FamilySearch.org, and other sites used by genealogists. It provides a summary of important details in a panel on the repository page, and supports multiple methods for copying those details to your genealogy database program or other programs you use while doing research. These features will save you time and effort, and will reduce errors introduced by manually extracting source and citation details. ORA lets you assign a status icon to repository records so you know which records you have reviewed and which you have not. No data is shared with the publisher of ORA or with any third-party. The record status data and other data extracted by ORA are stored only on your PC.
ORA is a subscription product. See: Family History Hosting Software Sales for pricing and other purchase information.
ORA requires a separately-installed Windows program. After you purchase a license, you will receive download instructions for the Windows program.
ORA is published by Family History Hosting, LLC, whose founder, John Cardinal, is a well-known genealogy software author who has written several popular genealogy programs.

The ORA services for FamilySearch and Nova Scotia Genealogy have been updated in ORA version 1.20 due to changes at those repositories.
FamilySearch is serving new-format pages to a subset of users, so you may or may not see the change, but ORA will work whether you see the old format pages or the new format pages. Please note, however, that FamilySearch has changed some field names so you should check your ORA templates if and when you see the new format pages with a gray banner at the top of the record details page.
There are other changes and fixes in this version. Please see the change log on the main site for details.
