- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18174079, a year agoKind of useless if the URL isn't automatically selected in a new tab. Having to ctlr+a and delete the url in each new tab before being able to type is not very helpful.

posted a year agoIt would be nice if you would ask before giving bad reviews for add-ons since what you want is not possible at all for WebExtensions. As there is no way to this, it's not fair to get a bad review for that reason. And by the way, 70,000 other users don't think that the add-on is "useless". - Rated 5 out of 5by naught-y, a year ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by algi, a year agoIt's longtime since I added it and I'd like to say Thank You again because it's nice and useful. 👌
- Rated 5 out of 5by Torchy, a year agoIt works and makes my annoyances with firefox homepage go away! The loading times are slower however, but I know that that is probably out of your control.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Crazy Jimmy, a year agoThis app does just what I needed. However, it was too hard to find out how to change the URL for new tabs. I've spent perhaps 15-20 minutes clicking and, frankly, don't know how I finally got to the page that enabled changing the URL. (This may pertain to other Firefox add-ins, too.)
Would like to donate, but had bad experiences with PayPal and closed my PayPal account. Wish there was another way to donate. Developer response
posted a year agoIt works. Of course you have to configure the extension once. If you have problems or questions, feel free to open an issue on GitHub.- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18122396, a year agoGood add-on to make your new tab more interesting.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 14781693, a year agoAdds automatically "http://" to the URL which prevent from using values like "about:home".
Developer response
posted a year agoThis doesn't make sense since "about:home" is the default new tab page and you woulnd't use this add-on at all to use it as new tab page.
Also it's not possible at all for WebExtensions to open about:home via the tabs API. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18096584, a year ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12920934, a year agoVery good, does exactly what it promised. Unfortunately you can't disable the behavior, if you changed the new tab to another extension, this extension will take over. It's extremely annoying if you use firefox sync and wanted to have different new tab behavior in each devices.

- Rated 4 out of 5by AnnoyedLeek, a year agoI am so glad I can finally redirect to my local web server for a custom home page. My major gripe is that opening a new tab does not clear the address bar, which is mildly infuriating. I understand that the extension settings state that Mozilla needs to fix the issue because they won't allow extension devs to change text selection in the address bar (citing a bug report filed a few years ago).
However, after reading through that bug report and clicking through to newer bug reports that cite the same issue, it seems Mozilla has changed their minds on that and now allows devs to implement this feature. I would love to see this implemented, as it would remedy my only issue!
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1426058 is the URL for the newer report.
