Click any word in the subtitle to see its meaning, hear it, and save it to your vocabulary. Every saved word becomes a flashcard with spaced repetition, so what you learn while watching actually sticks. Dual subtitles (English plus your language) are one click away.

You already watch a lot of English. YouTube at lunch, Netflix at night. Almost none of it sticks, because you never do anything with the words. This extension is where you do something with them.

🎨 See how much English you already know

Every word in the subtitle is coloured by how well you know it:

• White: new word
• Green: you recognise it when you hear it
• Orange: it is yours, it comes out without thinking

Open any video and see, in the line itself, how much of it you already own.

🌍 Dual subtitles, when you want them

• The translated line in Portuguese or Spanish, under the English original
• Hidden by default. Turn it on for the hard parts, off for the rest
• Watching something in Portuguese or Spanish? It flips around, and the English becomes the clickable line

🔁 Vocabulary builder and flashcards

• Words you mark go straight into your Fluent Immigrant vocabulary
• Flashcards are written from the words you actually met, not a list somebody else picked
• Spaced repetition brings them back until they stick
• Your progress counts the words, so you can see the finish line

• Only the subtitles of the video you are watching
• Only on youtube.com, netflix.com, primevideo.com and Amazon's video pages. Never on the Amazon shop

🚀 Getting started

• Create an account at https://app.fluentimmigrant.com. It is free, and the first three days are full access. After that the program is a paid subscription
• Install the extension, open it, press Connect account
• Open a video. Captions turn on by themselves
