About this extension
Read your RSS and Atom subscriptions in a dedicated reader tab. Dox Reader keeps subscriptions, downloaded articles, read state and starred items in your browser. The reader interface is currently in Simplified Chinese.
Features:
- Organize feeds and browse unread, all or starred articles.
- Search cached articles and import or export subscriptions using OPML.
- Customize the reading layout, colors and typography.
- Optionally sync subscriptions, read/starred state and preferences through your own HTTPS WebDAV server. Article bodies stay on each device in local mode.
No Dox Reader account or developer-operated backend is required. The extension contains no advertising or analytics. Broad website access is needed to request the feed addresses and WebDAV server you choose; it does not inspect your browsing history. Article images can load from their original hosts.
Requires Firefox 142 or later on desktop or Android. Questions and bug reports: https://github.com/aenerv7/Dox/issues
Optional Backend mode connects to your own Dox Reader Backend on Cloudflare. It archives feed articles, synchronizes subscriptions/read/starred state, and fetches hourly even when all clients are closed. Configure the fetch interval and global article retention in Settings; defaults are 60 minutes and the latest 10000 articles, including starred items. Local mode remains independent. Backend setup: https://github.com/aenerv7/Dox/tree/main/Dox%20Reader/Backend
