Works great! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

After going through may addons full of issues, this one works great!

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It's a good tool. Nice and convenient. Though, I do have just one gripe:

Is there a workaround for images (such as wallpapers) that are bigger than the browser?

The problem is that this plug-in fails to download an "oversized" image. My cursor turns into a magnifying glass as it rests over the image in question, which is normal. I can zoom the image with a click, but double-click functionality is ignored by this plug-in.

It's a shame, really. It's such a simple, yet good idea. I only ever DL HD Wallpapers, so yeah it's a bit problematic.

Can you give me an example link where this happens? I can download oversized images just fine. I think the site you're trying it on manually replaces the image with a different one when you click it. If that's the case, I can't do anything about it and that site should rethink their design anyway (scale the source image down with HTML attributes, not show different images). Use the support email link to contact me.

Amazing features! Works with Firefox 36 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Gotta love 'Double-click Image Downloader' simple and straightforward configuration.
Link/image hybrid workaround & Filename renaming pattern features are a godsend!

Works great on Firefox 36. Used this together with the long abandoned Easy DragToGo+ (for Text and Links).

Thank you Marnes!

Thanks, glad you like it all :)

Great!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

You can download link/image hybrid image with right mouse button double click. I found this because Alt key is used by other addon(S3 Google Translator).

By the way,
For renaming existing images,
(1), (2), (3),.... will be more firefox standard than _1, _2, _3,......

I'll integrate that into the next version, thanks :)

Folders Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Like the app..would like to be able to set the destination folder rather than using the default.

Thanks. :) Request noted for the next version

Easy to Use, Fast, but Overwrite of Existing File is an Issue Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Quick & Clean but Over-Writing of Existing File Name is an Issue. I'm not sure if I should give details or suggestions here but I think the Issue is pretty obvious since it seems to be already noted. I'll check out the "Support Section" and add my 2 Cents there.

I could really use something Quick and Clean like this to Collect Images off of Ebay Listings... and elsewheres... but it looses it's "Quick & Clean" characteristic if I have to monkey around changing file names manually and all that.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.0).

There's a pattern-based renaming and subfoldering function built-in, did you check that out first? Info is in the settings screen and there's a second toolbar button now that gives quick access to the naming pattern. And yes, please do send an email to the listed address. :)

add the directory customized by user themselves Rated 4 out of 5 stars

sometimes users dont want to download to default dirctory. they have another directory for pictures exclusively. what do you think?

A valid remark indeed, I'll see about adding it to the next version with a way to detect invalid paths

Great add on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very handy lil add on that makes saving lots of images a lot faster than having to 'right click menu > save image'. I wish it had an option to only save the image if I'm holding a key down though as often I'm accidentally saving images for things I don't want but am having to double click anyways due to the nature of the website function so am often having to delete lots of accidental downloads from the download folder. If I could have it so it only works when I hold down ctrl or shift or something then it would perfect for my use.

EDIT: Now it's got the option for only downloading when shift is held down while clicking, it's pretty much perfect for me now so I added an extra star on my review. :D

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.1).

That can be easily arranged with a new preference :) Stay tuned for an update

Like it so far. Probably an exclusion list feature would be a nice addition, whether a list of certain sites or of image names (if it's possible)

Thanks, and your idea is noted for the next version :)

I like this addon overall, though I do wish it didn't save form background images when I double-click to select text.

Would a checkbox to disable that feature be an acceptable solution? Use the email link to reply please
