Custom Scrollbars by Wesley Branton

Custom colours just straight-up didn't work. Not much use in an extension that just lets me change how wide my scroll bar is.

On some systems, the scrollbar colors may be overridden by the operating system itself. In that case, there is a setting that can be disabled in Firefox to allow the Custom Scrollbars add-on to change the colors. Жаль что нельзя сделать полосу чуточку шире как в Google Chrome. - by PeaceByJesus.net, 2 months agoRated 5 out of 5This is a primary extension (choose Use Custom Colors) which I think should be a default part of FF.
However, ver. 100.0 changed things somewhat so that the colored scrollbar is only visible when you place your mouse over it.
And I think it is too thin. But changing widget.non-native-theme.scrollbar.style to 4 (from 0) in about:config (and hit the Save checkmark) makes it wider. Thank God.
(Note that Custom Scrollbars will not work in Firefox pages as this). - by Kets, 2 months agoRated 5 out of 5

Also since i use fully transparent scrollbar track color there are some websites like EGS where the scrollbar track is plain white for some reasonDeveloper response

Unfortunately, there are some websites (Twitch is a good example) that have taken scrollbars a step further. Instead of using an actual scrollbar, these websites have designed custom components that look and behave similar to scrollbars, but they are fully custom. Since these are not actually considered "scrollbars" by the browser, it's not currently possible for me to make any modifications to these scrollbars.
As for the transparency issue, some websites have not set the background of the page (meaning it stays white) and instead have a large panel that they have set to be the width of the screen. The width of the screen does not include the scrollbar, so the white background hiding below shows through. Much like the issue above, there's no way for me to fix these either. - by Firefox user 17266125, 5 months agoRated 5 out of 5

posted 5 months agoHi James. Sorry to hear you had issues with the add-on.
As far as the scrollbar buttons go, currently Firefox only supports limited scrollbar customizations. That only includes colors and very limited width settings. As Firefox adds more features (which I hope they do), I will be able to add more functionality.
As for no visible changes being shown, it's important to note that there are some pages the add-on cannot make changes to. These mainly include internal browser pages (settings, etc.) and pages that are generated by other add-ons. - by Poun-64, 6 months agoRated 4 out of 5Fonctionne bien sous Firefox 95. J'ai toutefois un problème sur le site :
https://www.casino.fr/ecommerce/GC-catalog/fr/WE64853/?moderetrait=Z4
Developer response
posted 5 months agoBonjour! A feature that allows users to disable the add-on on specific websites is on my to-do list.
In the meantime, perhaps you can use website rules to give that website a specific scrollbar appearance. For more information, see: https://github.com/WesleyBranton/Custom-Scrollbar/wiki/Using-website-rules
