About this extension
Modern feeds optimize for engagement, not for usefulness. Native controls like "Not interested" are probabilistic hints, not rules.
ContentLens adds a layer you control on top of the feed. Block a channel or an author permanently. Hide titles containing a phrase. Every hidden item leaves a reversible placeholder that tells you why it was hidden and lets you bring it back in one action.
It runs entirely in your browser. No account, no server, no telemetry. Your rules live in your browser profile and you can export them, encrypted or as plain JSON, and import them anywhere.
Supported: YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Reddit and Hacker News. Each stays inactive until you enable it and grant access to that one site. RSS subscription data is portable, but feed downloads are not available in this release.
Optional capabilities, all off by default: semantic topic rules, thumbnail signals, duplicate detection and AI-assisted rule drafting through a model provider you configure yourself. Turn them all off and the deterministic rules keep working exactly the same.
