Prompts to select or create a container when opening external links
Extension Metadata
About this extension
When you click a link from an external application (email client, chat app, messaging app, etc.), Ask for Container intercepts the request and displays a popup window where you can:
• Select an existing container to open the link in
• Create a new container with custom name, color, and icon
• Open the link without any container
• Cancel and close the link
This helps you maintain privacy and separate your browsing contexts by ensuring external links are opened in the appropriate container. Perfect for users who use Multi-Account Containers to separate work, personal, shopping, and other browsing activities.
Requires Firefox 140+.
