About this extension
Alienizer transforms the text on any webpage by substituting Latin characters with look-alikes from other writing systems (Cyrillic, Greek, Armenian, Georgian, and 40+ more). Choose from presets ranging from near-invisible substitution to open visual estrangement, or fine-tune intensity with manual controls. Works on any site — activate manually per page or enable auto-mode to alienize your webexperience. Based on a precomputed similarity table of 167,586 character pairs across 46 scripts. A digital literature and computational poetics project that does not collect data or call home. More at alienizer.de.
