About this extension
AbbrScope is a Firefox extension for auditing abbreviation and acronym markup on the active page. It focuses on the small pieces of text that often confuse readers: shortened product names, internal jargon, standards names, policy labels, and repeated uppercase codes.
The extension scans <abbr> elements and reports missing expansions, empty abbreviation text, titles that simply repeat the shorthand, and suspiciously short expansion strings. It also looks for repeated uppercase tokens outside abbreviation markup so editors can decide whether an acronym should be introduced more clearly.
