by TimJ, 6 years agoThis add-on doesn't do anything that it's supposed to do or doesn't allow to do it in a simple way. The description states that "The 'Web Style' feature is disabled by default, so that the page displayed looks similar to how the page would look if printed normally. When the 'Web Style' feature is enabled, the page displayed will look similar to how the page looks during normal browsing.", yet I haven't found a way to make it work, even with checking the supposedly right checkbox in the menu. The description states that there is a "PRINT EDIT WE TOOLBAR", yet I cannot find it. As such, this add-on cannot do what it should and cannot be recommanded in its current state.

posted 6 years agoUnfortunately, updating to Firefox 72 has caused problems for users of some extensions, including Print Edit WE.
In some cases, these problems can be fixed by removing Print Edit WE, restarting Firefox twice, and then reinstalling Print Edit WE.
In other cases, the Firefox profile has become corrupted, and the problems can only be fixed by creating a new Firefox profile.
To create a new Firefox profile, please perform a Firefox Refresh as described here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings

Also, it would be nice to know a location to report extension issues besides in a review. - Rated 5 out of 5by numbchild, 3 months ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by cipher_nemo, 4 months agoNo longer works with Firefox 141 versions. Elements on page are scrambled, and nothing is selectable.

especially great for when people send you emails with messy formatting and you need to print them out for paperwork purposes.
very basic knowledge of html is recommended to use it to the full potential, but the ui is well-designed enough for anybody to use it, with or without html knowldge. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13443993, 5 months ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12521173, 6 months agoDoesn't work or do any of its functions, don't know why it's listed as "Recommended." Graphics still show up in print, edits don't get saved, the interface itself is ambiguous, user unfriendly, and unintuitive. Why is this broken tool even on the list??

- Rated 5 out of 5by SM, 7 months agoDoes the job as expected. It is easy to select different parts of the page and print only what's required. I like that fact that it does not require a reload of the page, either when clicking the extension or when closing it down.
I would love an 'auto' function that gets rid of stuff automatically, and the user can tweak further if needed (or undo).
It would be more helpful if the buttons & functions had a small tooltip description about what each sub-component does.
If both these are available already, then they need to be highlighted more obviously. Perhaps a (skippable) mini-tutorial when the extension is installed. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18939808, 7 months ago
