- Rated 1 out of 5by Damian B, 5 days agoPassword autofill doesn't work on some sites... For example, enter login: testtt1234 and click "Next" on the site: login.ingbank.pl
In the older addon version (2024.9.1) everything works fine. - Rated 1 out of 5by Jordan Majd, 7 days agoNew UI takes more clicks; more copy pastes, more scrolls to get anything done
Used Bitwarden for years and it was my favorite password manager but the latest UI update is unbearable. I gave myself some time to get used to it and relearn the new user interface but I'm now searching for a new password manager
- more websites are failing to auto fill both passwords and credit cards
- you have to enable a setting in order to be able to easily fill passwords in an app focused on enabling passwords
- compact mode takes more space than normal mode used to resulting in more scrolling
- copying credit card info manually takes at least 6 more clicks because of how you need to filter types
- They changed selecting an item to view details instead of fill a password (they added a setting to change this - but if you enable it you are unable to easily edit items because you have to then click on a menu, click on a dropdown item to view the item, then click on edit to access edit)
- editing information takes more clicks than it used to - Rated 1 out of 5by Saimon, 8 days agoIt used to work so well but recent update broke my premium feature. Not the OTPT don't work. I have to install older version for it to work. I created a ticket with them but they don't know if it will ever get fixed.
- Rated 1 out of 5by justsomereviewer, 9 days agoSeriously the developers just need to spend some time seeing how nice 1Password works and looks, and then try to make Bitwarden suck 100x less.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18806816, 9 days agoBitwarden was my favorite piece of tech for the past few years. The browser plugin redesign ruined it.
It looks shinier, but everything about it is worse. It is slower to load, more cumbersome to navigate, less efficient at showing info (giant text, buttons, headers, fluff), and buggy.
The classic UI was nearly perfect, so I'm sad and frustrated that this daily-use tool is suddenly so much worse. - Rated 1 out of 5by Wick3DRebel, 11 days agoThe new UI looks nice, but it often doesn't work properly in Firefox. Example: when creating a new login, toggling between "password" and "passphrase" does nothing! The selected tab will highlight, but the specific functionality for that password type doesn't render. Opening and closing from the toolbar icon seems to cause the extension to hang for a while. If I can manage to generate a new password - saving the login entry sometimes doesn't work and just hangs with the button disabled.

posted 10 days agoHi. I am having trouble reproducing the issue you are mentioning about the password generator. Are you able to reproduce this every time? Could you give me specific instructions? - Rated 1 out of 5by Katharta, 11 days agoThe new update is simply horrible. Text is hilariously large for no reason. Edit button was moved. Fill button instead of just clicking the thing. Actions that used to take 1 or 2 clicks take annoyingly longer to do now. Change just for the sake of it is bad. How could this possibly have went through testing/feedback before it got pushed to users?
Edit: Thanks for your reply I guess, but I shouldn't have to go out of my way to undo poor UX changes. Why wasn't the new thing an option instead of a forced default? Why can't I make the MFA buttons everywhere go away? While I appreciate the feature, I will never use it to avoid keeping all my eggs in the same basket, so they're nothing but distracting UI clutter for me. The unnecessarily enlarged font makes things a lot easier to shoulder surf and a lot harder to read. I'm not normally one to complain but these recent changes are incredibly unwelcome.Developer response
posted 10 days agoHi. Check under Bitwarden Settings > Autofill > "Click items to autofill on Vault view" and Bitwarden Settings > Appearance > "Show quick copy actions on Vault" if you want to restore previous functionality that you may prefer. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18036935, 13 days agoUrgh what have they done. Horrible new version is much worse. I'm not sure I'm going to put up with this.
- Rated 1 out of 5by proven7, 15 days agoOld version was wayy better, the all items view isn't practical, the "new" button opens submenu instead of the actual editing table, the massive green confirmation popups are especially annoying and futile which there should be an option to hide. Feels like this was change for the sake of change and the designers don't know what the they are doing. Just miraculous how you managed to make so well functioning extension so pain in the ass to use.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18795343, 16 days agoOld version was way better. Hate that little fill window I have to hit now. Every damn time I have to go back and hit that small window instead of just clicking on the whole entry. Very annoying. Will be looking to switch password managers.

Then a redesigned killed any love i have for this plugin. UX on desktop is just runied. It stopped opening at all on mobile. adding 2 extra clicks for something that required just one.. why.

Need to force restart Firefox to close extension page. Back button is not working to close the extension.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Coltaine, 19 days agoThe new UI is functionally worse in every way possible. Why is it that my identities no longer automatically appear alongside my other logins? Why must I navigate to a tiny drop down menu, click on "Identities", select the identity, click another tiny hamburger button and press "autofill"? This is WITH "click items to autofill" enabled in the settings.
It's absolutely embarrassing just how much of an absolute cock up this UI update has been. I tried to be fair, I've given it awhile, trying to get used to it, trying to get over my initial wave of frustration. I tried to ignore how needlessly frivolous it is with space, how everything takes at least twice as many clicks to reach as it did previously but I just can't anymore.
Are these UI designers getting paid by how much extra time is being wasted by their god awful design? I can't think of any other reason bar extreme incompetence or actual malice for replacing a decent, working product with this steaming pile of dog shit.
Edit: The developer's response to my review clearly misses the main thrust of my entire point. I've tried all the settings that are hidden away to return basic functionality. The new UI is still worse in every measurable way.
There's no point of reading reviews as a developer if you can't parse feedback.Developer response
posted 18 days agoHi. New UI is trash. Core functionalities are broken. The app freezes for 30 seconds when copying passwords or saving changes/new details. It's bad.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18788947, 20 days agoWay too difficult to use. It made passwords more time consuming instead of less.
- Rated 1 out of 5by BDanielBell, 22 days agoUsed to be the best, now they've made horrible style changes and features are starting to break and slow down. They pull useful features while adding useless ones, and the software just doesn't work like it used to. The company doesn't respond to complaints or requests anymore. Support is non-existent. This product is rapidly heading for self-destruction, and I no longer trust it.

I use the shortcut 80% of the time to fill credentials, but use the menu for sites where I have multiple logins. The redesign has made this a multi-click process, all done in a UI that has wasted space. I don't trust any organization that thought this was acceptable. They are refusing to roll back the changes or add a toggle for the old UI. Instead, they are restoring piecemeal individual features that enough people have complained about missing. It's not completely useless, but I think two stars is too generous. I'm getting out before the next ridiculous UI overhaul.Developer response

No more simple login, and no explanation of the new UI. Terrible.
- Rated 1 out of 5by xsilas43, a month agoThis new UX update is unusable and those responsible should be fired.
The main feature of this is to fill passwords, now its a tiny little button.Developer response

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13328854, a month agoAs so many others already said, the most recent change of the UI is a big step backwards. Please go back to the original UI or at least make this an option. Otherwise, BW has been my favorite password manager for years.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18775554, a month agoRecent updates introduced a slow and ugly UI but worse than that -- I can't log in to some websites with the extension added to Firefox. The sites load fine when this one extension is removed. Really disappointed in another software solution being made objectively worse over time for NO REASON. STOP TOUCHING IT.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15593412, a month agoIt used to be good. The new UI is not only unpleasant, but SLOW, loading regularly. Autocomplete of credit card is not working any more, not even recognizing the pages with card inputs. Will abandon the product if they will not revert the old behaviour (not talking about the UI only!).
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18773626, a month agoNew UI is terrible. Multiple clicks to get to an edit, Save and Cancel are in the same place, and the same color. Autofill feature got even worse with the update. I've been a very happy customer for years, and will likely be changing password managers this year :/
