- Rated 1 out of 5by krystian3w, 6 hours agoFor me the add-on is also broken, in Firefox 115.30 ESR there is only spinner.
- Rated 1 out of 5by BuppyJam, 2 days agoLatest version makes CPU temps go right up. Use version 2025.6.1 for now.
- Rated 1 out of 5by ChubbyPapaya, 5 days agoRecent updates have made it slow. Recent update broke Firefox 115 ESR support for at least 24 hours now.
Making this account to write this. Saved my password in notepad, hahah - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19588142, 5 days agoLatest version breaks Firefox 115.30.0esr (64-Bit). Only a rotating spinner is visible. No way to report any bug to the developer.
- Rated 1 out of 5by shewhobrowses, 6 days agobrowser plugin completely stops working after it completes an automatic update. there is no way to report bugs, no help available on the website (there's an AI "assistant" thingy that fails to understand the question and fails to give an answer). now all my login info is trapped and I have to use the clunky online vault to do everything which includes completely re-authorizing *every time* I navigate away from the tab with the vault.

Released Oct 16, 2025, Version 2025.10.0 causes extreme browser performance issues, as if running a malicious extension. High CPU, whole browser becomes slow.
Had to revert to Version 2025.9.0.
Other recent, I think it was Aug 22, 2025, Version 2025.8.1 was freezing and crashing Firefox because it was running out of memory (OOM).
You just never know when this extension is safe or stable with these reckless public alpha releases.
I will be looking into replacement before Bitwarden causes some serious damage and gets my passwords leaked. - Rated 1 out of 5by Scotty_Trees, 24 days agoUnfortunately Bitwarden has had performance issues on Firefox for over a year. The latest performance issues within the last month now is typing on many webpages is extremely slow with the extension enabled. Disabling/uninstalling it appears to fix the problem.
- Rated 1 out of 5by gentux, a month agoWhen I try to login it says "NetworkError when attempting to fetch ressource" Can't use it. Bitwarden Desktop client logs in just fine on the same machine on the same network, Bitwarden works on my iPhone, iPad and Mac but not in Firefox on Windows.
- Rated 1 out of 5by TRR, a month agoI've used this for years but recently (Oct 2025) having the extension enabled is now making typing in text fields in Firefox slow down noticeably, like it'll often show 2 or 3 letters behind what I'm typing. Disabling the extension fixes the performance problems but then I can't use Bitwarden :(
- Rated 1 out of 5by kanuay, a month agoBitwarden v2025.10.0 causes stuttering in some JavaScript animations on my site. I tried adjusting various settings, but nothing helped. The only way to fix the issue is to disable or remove this extension.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Yaestro, a month agoSlows down YouTube even if autofill is disabled. Slowing down browsers (even Chrome) for over a year. Will try an alternative.
- Rated 1 out of 5by frxrnk, a month agoThe add-on has massive performance issues and slows down pages a lot, especially if they have many dynamic elements, which is now very common. It often causes freezes and sluggish animations/scrolling.
I was hoping it would stop the constant scanning for form fields on page changes by disabling "Show autofill suggestions in form fields", so it only does its scan when autofill is requested with the shortcut or from extension panel, but it made no difference.
Only excluding the domains worked, but then why have the add-on at that point. Disabling it significantly improved general navigation.
I hope they address the add-ons performance concerns soon, as they have one of the better products out there. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19528584, a month agoPoorly coded, booting the latest edition of firefox as of 2025/10/17 opens multiple copies of the app asking you to log in to your passwords, doesn't detect settings well, doesn't detect autofill in firefox is off and keeps asking to turn it off, pretty janky rubbish, I expect americans coded this

- Rated 1 out of 5by ThePulsecore, 3 months agoVersion 2025.7.1 ist leider unbrauchbar: Lässt den ganzen Browser einfrieren!
- Rated 1 out of 5by Marc, 4 months agoThe developers seem to to be testing their extension at all, as since the latest update, the extension freezes completely on every single installation I've seen.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14609807, 4 months agoLatest update is completely bugged. The whole extension goes into panic mode when you first try to log in. Have to restard the whole browser to fix for now... Needs a critical update asap it's non functional as is
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19238466, 4 months agoThe latest version lags out enormously and uses a mind-boggling amount of RAM when logging in, making Firefox go from less than 1GB of RAM usage to just shy of 11GB. It freezes the whole browser for ~30 seconds while doing so, before finally letting all that RAM go and actually logging me in. I'm not sure if it's compromised, but I've tried reinstalling Bitwarden and I get the same results. The addon has been nearly flawless for years before, so I'm hoping this is just a temporary issue, but as it stands I find it unusable and highly suspicious about what exactly it's doing to use so much memory and freeze the browser.
- Rated 1 out of 5by jesse james johnson, 4 months agoI'm disappointed that bitwarden doesn't take potential security exploits very seriously, months after a proof of concept that shows that the extension is vulnerable to data exfiltration a resolution is still outstanding. It's hard to continue to have our organization use the service when users have to be instructed to disable the auto-fill functionality.
