posted 4 hours agoYou need to manually update the native program to 2.13.2. You can read more details in the addon description.- Rated 1 out of 5by Jorge, 3 months agoIn the last day, none of the PWA apps are opening. I followed the procedure recommended in the recent report here in the reviews, I installed the firefoxpwa-2.12.1-x86_64 version because I couldn't find the native installer that was mentioned on github, but it still didn't work.
I believe this happened after this last update of Firefox (131.0 (64-bits)).

posted 3 months agoYes, it's related to Firefox 131 and has only been fixed in PWAsForFirefox 2.12.5.
I can't link it directly because URLs are not allowed here, but if you go to the GitHub repository, you should see PWAsForFirefox 2.12.5 on the right side under the releases section. Then, open the release and you should be able to download firefoxpwa-2.12.5-x86_64.msi under the assets section. - Rated 1 out of 5by Guerrini, 3 months agoDidn't work. I only get blank windows for all apps I installed. (Win11).
Update- Even after downloading the "firefoxpwa-2.12.5-x86_64.msi" I couldn't get it to work. I tried removing the extention and fresh installing, but no luck.Developer response
posted 3 months agoPlease download the native program v2.12.5 from GitHub releases in the repository (specifically,
firefoxpwa-2.12.5-x86_64.msi).
Update: If you still have problems after updating to 2.12.5, make sure that the native version mentioned in the extension settings (About the project) is also 2.12.5. If it's not, uninstall the native program from the system settings and try again. You can also try to run "Patch profiles and runtime" from the extension settings. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18562428, 5 months agoHasn't worked in a long time. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, completely resetting, still constant issues that makes it not worth it. I still don't understand why this is even needed. All I want is the exact same functionality that used to exist and doesn't no reasons like reasons. All I want is the Google Messages icon pinned to my taskbar so I can text from my computer without finding the tab it's on. This should not be that difficult.
- Rated 1 out of 5by A. TV, 7 months agoI would steer clear of this extension. It totally screwed my entire system. It took me hours to get it back to normal.

posted 7 months agoThat doesn't really make sense. If you have problems, please create an issue on GitHub. - Rated 1 out of 5by Ronaldo, 9 months agoNo funciona. Seguí todo paso a paso cuidadosamente y se queda en el paso 2. Hasta reinicie el computador y no funciona. La extensión solo se limita a decir "An unexpected error occurred". Lastima por que se veìa prometedora la extension. Tengo Ubuntu 23.

posted 9 months agoThere are sometimes problems with Firefox version on Ubuntu. Please check the documentation for possible solution: https://pwasforfirefox.filips.si/help/faq/#why-doesnt-the-extension-find-the-native-connector-on-linux
If that doesn't fix the issue, please create an issue on GitHub: https://github.com/filips123/PWAsForFirefox/issues Developer response

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18008973, a year agoDoesn't work on on MacOS Monterey, at least for me. Ran the terminal script, waited for that to finish, tried installing the additional software, which failed for some reason. Don't know how to undo the terminal script.

posted a year agoPlease create a new issue on GitHub: https://github.com/filips123/PWAsForFirefox/issues - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17782142, 2 years agoSetup does not work on Ubuntu. It stays forever at Connector Installation although the needed package is correctly installed and there is no way to continue further to Runtime Installation.
I'm removing the extension for now. Will update this rating if a solution is found.

posted 2 years agoThere are some problems with default Firefox versions on Ubuntu.
Developer response
posted 3 years agoI released an update that fixes compatibility with Firefox 101.0 yesterday, but it hasn't been approved by Mozilla yet. Until it's approved, you will have to manually download the native program from GitHub: https://github.com/filips123/PWAsForFirefox/releases/tag/v1.4.2
Flatpak (and Snap) currently cannot work because of sandboxing limitations (and the same is true for any extension that uses native messaging API). This cannot be fixed until native messaging is supported by Flatpak and Firefox. You will have to use normal Firefox. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15258827, 3 years agoManuelle Installation irgendwelcher unerkennbarer Programmelemente
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13433096, 3 years agoOtra de "las grandes joyas" que no sirven de nada, te hace instalar un monton de programas y no llega a funcionar.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Fitsoldecot3000, 3 years agoNo me sirve la extension, no me deja avanzar mas allá de la instalación del runtime (eso iniciando la extensión). Me marca: "Failed to extract the runtime". Es una pena porque Firefox es lo que más uso

posted 3 years agoPlease check troubleshooting steps in the repository wiki (https://github.com/filips123/FirefoxPWA/wiki/Troubleshooting), obtain logs and create a new issue on GitHub. - Rated 1 out of 5by Luciano Sencovici, 4 years agoMuito limitado. Não são todos os sites que pode ser ajustados para PWA, nesse caso o Chrome ou Edge devem ser utilizados para isso. Aqui no Firefox precisa melhorar!!

posted 4 years agoSupport for installing arbitrary websites has been added in 0.4.0. This extension now supports basically any website that Chrome and Edge do.
The address bar button still won't appear for such sites (but it also doesn't in Chrome and Edge), but you can install them from the main extension widget/button.
