About this extension
SecureNotes Web Clipper — Save anything from the web, encrypted before it leaves your browser.

🔒 MILITARY-GRADE ENCRYPTION
Every note, title, and tag is encrypted with AES-256-GCM right inside your browser before being sent to the server. Your master password never leaves your device. The server stores only encrypted blobs — even we can't read your data.

⚡ CLIP MODES
• Full Page — Capture the entire page content
• Article (Clean) — Smart extraction strips ads, navigation, sidebars, and clutter
• Selection — Highlight text and clip just what you need

🏷️ ORGANIZE WITH TAGS
Type a tag/notebook name when clipping. Notes with the same tag name are automatically grouped — all encrypted, zero-knowledge.

🔐 ZERO-KNOWLEDGE ARCHITECTURE
• AES-256-GCM encryption (same as banks and military)
• PBKDF2 key derivation with 600,000 iterations (exceeds OWASP recommendations)
• Master key wrapped with your password — server never sees it
• Session-scoped key storage — clears automatically when you close the browser
• No third-party libraries — zero supply chain risk
• Open encryption, auditable code

🛡️ PRIVACY BY DESIGN
• No tracking, no analytics, no telemetry
• No data collection beyond what you explicitly clip

⌨️ FAST ACCESS
• Keyboard shortcut: ⌘⇧Y (Mac) / Ctrl+Shift+Y (Windows/Linux)
• Right-click context menu: "Clip Page" or "Clip Selection"
• Success badge confirms your clip was saved

🌐 WORKS EVERYWHERE
Clip from any website. All encryption happens locally in your browser. Works with Chrome, Firefox, and Chromium-based browsers.

📱 CROSS-PLATFORM
Your encrypted notes sync to the SecureNotes web app, Android app, and iOS app with PWA — all using the same AES-256 encryption.

2. Browse to any page
3. Click the extension or use the keyboard shortcut
4. Choose: Full Page, Clean Article, or Selection
