- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18736741, a month agoI think it works well, and I do recommend getting it. Pages load faster, since they don't load much of the bloat and spam, this also helps with security, preventing a lot of code from executing without consent.
It does take a bit of time to customize for all of the sites that are regularly visited. Often time sites load a lot of items, which must be explicitly allowed, then often times when something is allowed, it opens up a lot more items that must also be allowed. Scripts have to be customized for each domain (not each site) to be allowed to run. Which leads me to my next point, and the reason I gave 3 stars instead of 5...
I have spent quite a lot of time getting all of the scripts I like setup, the individual sites and domains configured exactly like I like it. Then something really bad went wrong. On a completely different PC, I logged into my Firefox browser with my Firefox account, and it loaded all of my plugins, and those plugins all reset to their initial default value, not only on the new PC I logged in on, but it reset all of my noscript configuration on my main PC that I've been using for years!!! So much time configuring it exactly like I like it, all gone. It's really quite sad.
Overall, I still recommend getting it, but having lost all of my settings like that is really upsetting. I guess if I would have known this would happen ahead of time, maybe I could have backed up my settings or something, but I had no idea logging into Firefox on a completely different PC would erase all of my noscript settings on my original PC. - Rated 3 out of 5by MB, a month agoExcellent attempt, but since it *constantly* forgets whatever settings I set the previous day, I end up having to re-allow the same site over and over.
It needs to have something more like uBlock Origin's lists, which seem to work consistently. - Rated 3 out of 5by Pavel, a month agoIt's good to block the scripts, but it started to loose the list of enabled sites every now and then. An to have some sites to work may require enabling several other sites. So I have to resort to "Enable all temporarily" due to my enabled list being lost.
- Rated 3 out of 5by TDGalea, a month agoFantastic plugin to handle all the pathetic popups and tracking of the modern web. Only down two stars because it seems to keep forgetting my trusted sites. It's almost as if it's trying to sync, but instead of syncing my saves to new devices, new devices sync their empty lists to existing devices instead.

- Rated 3 out of 5by pcg, 7 months agoNe fonctionne plus correctement sur dernière MAJ Firefox 64 bits (115.12.0). Icônes incliquables sur certains onglets. No longer works with Firefox latest update (115.12.0). Unresponsive icons on some tabs
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18300440, 8 months agoThis addon is really nice, until recently. For whatever reason, it was completely reset on all my devices, so I am in the process of ADDING back all the custom setting and it is annoying... I almost uninstalled it.
pienso que deberia permitir todo excepto paginas peligrosas - Rated 3 out of 5by

- Rated 3 out of 5by Flash, 2 years agoUntil this latest upate, I'd have given it 5 stars. But the newest version is awful. It's broken so many websites. Disabling restrictions doesn't make them work either; I have to disable it completely on those sites.
Developer response
posted 2 years agoHello, latest version doesn't contain any change justifying these problems.
Probably you're hitting some pre-existing configuration-specific bug. Could you please report with more details at https://noscript.net/forum? Thanks! - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17517349, 2 years agoIt blocks things from loading which is great but then I have to enable things to find out which things make the site work.
Also the extension will occasionally just stop any page from loading even though it is not blocking anything. I have to disable the extension to make firefox work again. - Rated 3 out of 5by Grumph, 2 years agoSince last month, some websites stopped working even with all permissions "trusted". Had to bypass the add-on completely to see the content.
- Rated 3 out of 5by 3h98, 2 years agoGutes Addon.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Yeko, 2 years agoSomething funky is going on with NoScript as of late. It has become very unstable in a sense that I click "temporarily allow" but nothing happens. I can see several JS domains to be allowed but none of them is getting allowed. I click on each to allow temporarily but nothing happens: the page neither refreshes nor loads after I refresh it manually. It is happening on a growing number of sites. And just to see the site I end up disabling it globally which totally defeats the purpose of this addon.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13258799, 3 years ago
As written in the review, the sisters and brothers also changed the appearance that had been the same for many years and it became very hard to see.
--> The good thing about NoScript is that what is currently enabled is clearly displayed and what is not enabled is displayed lightly (Dim Gray), but it has been lost.
Therefore, what was evaluated as ★ 5 was reduced to ★ 3.
I don't think the theme change function itself is necessary in the first place. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12748548, 3 years agoI've used this add-on for years. It was one of the best extensions ever -- thank you developer, for all your hard work! Unfortunately, the new update is awful. It looks horrible, and it seems to be breaking all kinds of websites and frequently does not allow adjustments when clicking on 'Options' or anything anymore. It's just ugly and useless now. Please put it back to the way it was!
Developer response
posted 3 years agoPlease upgrade to 11.4.1 where you can optionally revert to the "Vintage Blue" theme. - Rated 3 out of 5by fearless , 3 years agoCant access local lan addresses for router or other wifi products using any 192.168.1.x address - new update completely blocks. Doesnt seem to be a way to disable the https only thing as well, not sure if they are related. Had to disable NoScript to get access to my router and local wifi power plug extensions. Hopefully this can be fixed in a new update soon. Also the change of UI is a lot darker and harder to read compared with the older UI. Perhaps that can be taken into account when any new updates are released. For now I will leave it disabled.

posted 3 years agoCoould you please follow up about the LAN issue on https://noscript.net/forum, providing more details and your configuration?
Thanks. - Rated 3 out of 5by sebt27, 3 years agoThe dropdown menu in the new version 11.4 has a hideous, huge, Fisher-Price appearance with rounded corners. A developer is replying to these reviews suggesting one of the 11.4.1RCs - but there is no way to download these from the site linked to.
I've just reverted to 11.3.7, available from this site: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/noscript/versions/
Then, in Firefox Settings/Add-ons, I switched off automatic updates.
I don't know whether one of the 11.4.1 RCs offers a real option to keep the original appearance, because I can't find them anywhere. Please add this feature into future releases, because the new UI is horrible. I haven't even tried it on some of the e-commerce/newspaper sites where the menu might have 20+ sites listed - would they even fit on my screen?Developer response

Disabling automatic updates is not advisable for obvious reasons. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14804265, 3 years agoEffectivement la nouvelle interface n'est pas très jolie et trop grosse, mais surtout depuis la mise à jour j'ai des bugs (images disparaissent ou impossible d'être affichées sur des sites tels que Rakuten même quand je désactive pour cette page), Amazon aussi.
