ContinueVault: Continue AI Chats by ContinueVault LLC

This extension saves your AI chats to your ContinueVault. Then you connect your AI to that vault with our MCP. We walk you through it. With both in place, you open a fresh chat, say "continue," and your AI goes and gets the work - right inside the chat.

You know the wall: the chat gets long, the screen gets slow, the answers get dumber. A new chat remembers nothing. Paste the old thread in and it's slow again. Projects, uploads, and summaries don't hold.

ContinueVault is the other half of the chat. The extension saves the conversation. MCP is how Claude, ChatGPT via our GPT, Grok, and the rest are able to search it and pick it up - decisions, files, current status. Real threads here run dozens of sessions and tens of thousands of turns.

Native memory is a few pages of notes about you, locked inside one company. This is your actual work, across AIs.

1. This extension — saves chats from ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and many others (Claude Code and Codex via local sync).
2. MCP — add the ContinueVault connector in Claude and other MCP clients. In ChatGPT, open the ContinueVault GPT. The setup screens in the product point you at the exact clicks.
3. Then say "continue." Or ask for something you only half remember. Your AI does the digging in the chat. You don't paste.

An AI can only continue what it can reach. The extension writes conversations into your vault on ContinueVault's servers. MCP is the door your AI uses to search that vault. You choose which accounts and whether sync is automatic or manual.
