- Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon John Corliss, vor 4 JahrenIt works, but I really don't like cookie logging. I very much don't like the way that cookie logging is enabled by default either and how it resets to being enabled whenever I run CCleaner and Bleachbit on my system. Other than that though, this extension does a great job of deleting unwanted cookies without restarting Firefox, and it also does great at protecting cookies that I don't want to lose. As I said though, logging should be turned off by default. In fact, I don't see any excuse for there to be logging of cookies in any event. I see it as a possible privacy exploit. Webextension data SHOULD be cleaned. Perhaps the extensions settings should be stored some other way if possible. I have no intention of ending my use of such tools as CCleaner and Bleachbit.

geschrieben am vor 4 JahrenLogging can be turned off in Cookiebro Options. If CCleaner or some other tool you use deletes WebExtension storage data, it's hardly a valid reason to give Cookiebro just 3 stars. Instead, CCleaner and other apps like that should improve their products so that they don't delete WebExtension data. Or just stop using such tools.
EDIT: if CCleaner / Bleachbit deletes the "Don't log" setting, then it will also delete your whitelist, blacklist and other settings since storing those settings is done using the same API call. If you really want to wipe all settings of all your extensions and then manually reimport those settings, go ahead but it's your choice. - Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon CodemanV, vor 5 Jahren*** EDIT ***
All of a sudden for some bizarre reason the Whitelist is empty when I run Firefox, every session I can add sites to the Whitelist but on relaunching Firefox it reverts the Whitelist back to empty :(

Finally! A decent cookie manager that actually works for the stupidly restrictive, uncustomisable and broken mess that is Firefox Quantum 60+ ... or as I call it, Firefox Can't 'um do anything useful with it.Antwort des Entwicklers

What is the default action for cookies with this addon? What happens to cookies that are neither whitelisted nor blacklisted? I have this add on installed and I honestly still don't know how my browser treats a cookie from a brand new site. What is the point of a cookie log that doesn't tell you how the cookies were handled? How should content blocking in Firefox settings be configured? Why write an addon with zero documentation? Hey, geeks can use it so who cares about normal people?
Ugh I miss the old Cookie Monster addon, so intuitive and easy.Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor 5 JahrenCookies that are not whitelisted get "unwanted" status which means that they are subject to deletion either periodically or upon browser startup (see Cookiebro Options page to define how you want it to behave).
In the Cookie Log there is column called "Decision" which is either "Set" or "Blocked". If it says "Set" it means cookie was stored and if it says "Blocked" it means cookie was rejected.
Firefox should be set to allow cookies so that Cookiebro can take care of the handling. - Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 14464303, vor 5 Jahren

- Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon Andis Grosšteins, vor 6 JahrenCookiebro is a functional cookie manager but UI needs some work and UX improvements.
For example: Current search implementation in cookies editor is of little use when there are more than a few dozen sites with cookies and I have 477 sites. Filtering and displaying only matching entries would be a much better approach. Just like the old Firefox cookies manager or about:config page.
I'd like to also suggest merging all different add-on pages in a single page with tabbed UI.Antwort des Entwicklers

I would like to use Firefox Options to block all cookies, then use a simple add-on button to whitelist particular sites. (Going Firefox Options to add exception is a big huge pain when you are in the middle of something.)

geschrieben am vor 6 JahrenThere's no WebExtension API for accessing or managing the Firefox internal whitelist so what you are asking is impossible (at least at the moment).
However, I recommend you to use just Cookiebro. First allow all cookies in Firefox settings. Then in Cookiebro "Enable blacklist filtering" in Options, enter one line to blacklist: *.* and then whitelist the sites you want either by using the Cookiebro whitelist or when needed using the Cookiebro extension icon action. That will then completely block all cookies except the ones you whitelist.
You don't need the Firefox internal whitelist system at all and as you said, it's very cumbersome to use.
