About this extension
Pastree keeps the text you copy, the snippets you reuse and the documents you send, in the Firefox sidebar beside the page, ready to paste.
CLIPBOARD HISTORY
• Switch on automatic capture and Pastree saves the text you copy on web pages. It's off until you do.
• Or save text yourself: "Save clipboard to Pastree" in the right-click menu, or the + button.
• Search your history, star what matters, and edit any item.
• Paste an item into the page with one click, or copy it back to your clipboard.
SHORTCUTS THAT STAY PUT
• Alt+I, Alt+O and Alt+P (⌃⇧U, ⌃⇧I and ⌃⇧O on a Mac) each paste the item assigned to them. Copying something new doesn't move them.
• Alt+Shift+V (Control+Shift+V on a Mac) opens and closes Pastree.
• Add your own shortcuts for turning auto-capture on or off and for Clear All Data, from Settings › Keyboard Shortcuts.
• Right-click a text field to paste a recent, starred or list item.
LISTS
• Keep the snippets you reuse, such as replies, addresses or code, in lists, and paste them from the sidebar or the right-click menu.
FILES
• Keep the documents you send often, such as a résumé or a cover letter: PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, MD, RTF, ODT, PNG, JPG, WEBP, SVG and GIF, up to 20 MB each and 50 files in all.
• Attach one to an upload form by clicking the form's upload area, even in forms embedded from other sites.
• Preview PDFs, text files and images.
PROMPTS
• Save reusable prompts for AI tools, and canned replies, with fill-in variables, tags, lists and version history.
• Copy a prompt, or export it as a .txt, .md or .json file.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Everything stays in your browser, on your device. Pastree has no servers, no accounts and no analytics, and it makes no network requests.
• Access to websites is asked for only when a feature needs it.
• "Exclude passwords", on by default, skips passwords, card numbers, keys and tokens.
• Keep your history (the default), or delete it when the browser closes or after 7, 30 or 90 days. Starred items are kept.
• Export a backup, or clear everything, whenever you like.
Light and dark themes, keyboard navigation throughout, and screen reader support.
