About this extension
KubeDrive is a desktop app for Kubernetes. This extension connects your browser to it: a browser cannot reach your clusters itself, so the extension opens things in KubeDrive and shows what KubeDrive already knows.
Open in KubeDrive: select a kubectl command such as
kubectl -n web logs deploy/api
or a reference such as
pod/api-5d8f
on any page (a runbook, an alert, a chat), right-click and choose Open in KubeDrive. The object opens in the app with its logs, YAML and events.
Address bar: type
kd prod deploy api -n web
.
Cloud consoles: on an EKS, GKE or AKS cluster page the popup offers to open that cluster in KubeDrive, matched to your kubeconfig context.
Argo CD, Grafana, Rancher: on an Argo CD application, a Grafana Kubernetes dashboard or Rancher's explorer, the popup opens the object the page is about in KubeDrive.
Problems at a glance: the badge shows how many problems the clusters you shared have, red when any is critical; the popup lists the clusters with node and pod counts and the problems, each a link into KubeDrive.
Privacy: the extension talks only to KubeDrive on 127.0.0.1 and reads the address of the page you open the popup on. It has no analytics and sends nothing anywhere else. It sees exactly the clusters you share in KubeDrive's AI Agents window, read-only and without secret values.
Setup: in KubeDrive open AI Agents, turn the server on, tick the clusters to share and copy the token; paste it in the extension's settings and click Test connection. Guide: https://kubedrive.com/docs/extension
