About this extension
Hide Me Please lets you set text replacement rules for pages you visit. When the extension is enabled, it scans normal page text, iframes, open shadow roots, and common accessible text attributes such as alt text, placeholders, titles, and aria labels, then replaces matching words or phrases while leaving the surrounding HTML structure alone.
Use it to keep distracting, sensitive, or personally identifying text out of view during browsing, demos, screenshots, or screen sharing. Replacement rules are configured from the extension popup, can be toggled on or off, and are stored in browser sync storage. The extension does not send browsing content or replacement rules to an external server.
