About this extension

Summarize a YouTube video with Gemini in one click. The extension adds a Summarize button below the player and to the three-dot menus on video cards.

Customize the instructions sent to Gemini: classic summary, five key takeaways, detailed outline, simple explanation, link only, or your own text. Preferences are available from the Firefox icon and in a larger page.

Disable automatic submission to choose a model or edit the message before sending. The interface supports French, English, and Spanish, with automatic browser-language detection.

Your instructions and the video URL are sent directly to Gemini after your click. Settings stay in Firefox; no data is sent to the developer. No intermediary server or telemetry. Gemini is a Google service and may require signing in to a Google account.

Free and open source. Independent project, not affiliated with YouTube, Google, or Mozilla.
