Cost Shield for BigQuery by atesendev

The BigQuery console tells you how many bytes a query will process, not what it costs, and runs anything on a click. Cost Shield puts a price on every query before it runs and asks before the expensive ones.

• A cost badge ("≈ $20.00") next to the console's estimate, at the on-demand price of your project's location (48 locations)
• Run guard: asks before a query over your limit runs (default $1), from the Run button or the keyboard shortcuts
• Daily budget: asks when a run would take the day's estimated spend over your budget
• SQL notes: SELECT *, a LIMIT that saves nothing, a large scan with no WHERE
• Projects on capacity (editions) pricing are marked and never stopped
• Spend log: today, this month and the share of the free 1 TiB, with CSV export
• English and Turkish

Everything is an estimate from Google Cloud's list prices; the invoice is what Google bills. Nothing leaves the browser: no account, no analytics, no server, no remote code. The only permission is storage.
