OneTab's features are perfect for managing a large number of tabs that have to be open for several days. I haven't had any problem with disappearing tabs. The "export tab" feature displays a list of the URLs of the tab. It can be copied and pasted into a regular text file for extra backup.

Lost all my tabs. Assegnate 1 su 5 stelle

I tried the store.json method. No file even there. I think I'm done this time. I wish I could stay but this addon isn't reliable. I'm going to use recuva on that folder to see if I can find the store.json file. I'll update if I get anything else to help the community. Too bad the devs aren't much of help.

Good thing I keep a backup copy of my OneTab store.json Assegnate 3 su 5 stelle

I started out using Tab Grenade for saving my tab links on Firefox, then I saw
that there was a OneTab add-on for Firefox, so I switched. I was familiar with
OneTab on the Chrome browser and there are some things I liked better about
it. For one, it seems to be more actively developed (it has a more recent
update). For another, my saved links show up more reliably in a pinned tab.
Lastly, it stores its data in a json file, which is smaller and easier to
access than the sqlite database Tab Grenade uses.

However, OneTab is not without its serious faults. Today I opened my tab with
the OneTab-saved links and it was empty. Contrary to what the developer says
("This does *not* mean that you have lost them. They are still stored in
Firefox, but something is preventing the OneTab extension from loading
properly."), I *did* lose my data. I went to the folder where "store.json" is
located and the file had a size of roughly 100 bytes. My saved version is
approx. 52 kbytes, so yeah, information was lost. I closed Firefox, copied over
my saved "store.json", re-opened Firefox and was back in business. However,
had I not saved a copy of "store.json", I would have been a very unhappy
camper! I am using version 36.0.1 of Firefox, by the way.

3rd time I lost my links Assegnate 2 su 5 stelle

It's been the 3rd time I lost my tabs from Onetab, in the span of 3-4 months. As the core feature is not working reliably, and seeing this is a recurring problem, I feel the need to gives some feedback.

I've been reading the workaround solution for windows OS. Is there something similar on Mac OS to revert the store.json file to its previous version?

Great add-on

* NOT SAFE TO USE * Loses Tab Data Reliably Assegnate 1 su 5 stelle

Although the Developers state:

"A small minority of people are seeing a blank page instead of their OneTab tabs. This does *not* mean that you have lost them. They are still stored in Firefox, but something is preventing the OneTab extension from loading properly."

It is much, much more than a "Small Minority". Everyone who uses this Add-On will have the Awful experience of Losing ALL their "Locked", "Named", "Starred", whatever... Tabs! Where does the "Data" go? Where is the "Tab" data stored? There needs to be an Auto Backup built in to this OneTab Add-On for it to be safe to Use.

It would be an Awesome Add-On if not for this stupid bug.

After Losing a couple hundred or so Tabs, I now "Share" my List as a Web Page. That way I at least have All my Tabs saved as Links on a Web Page that looks like a OneTab List. I now would like to get an Add-On that will Open ALL the Links on a Web Page... until I find a way to make a backup of my OneTab List.

I can't give a Broken Add-On any kind of "Star" Rating.

Does anyone have a Tip about an Add-on that will load all the links on a web page into individual Tabs?

Does anybody know how to backup the OneTab data? ...or have a Firefox workaround of any kind?

Confirm that it's broken Assegnate 1 su 5 stelle

Regularly loose all links after a restart, do not trust onetab for your bookmarking.

This plugin is useless as tits on a boar hog!!! EVERY damn time something (anything) updates it loses every damn link I put into it! Time to get rid of this broken foot!

does not work with links to similarity of:

but great expansion))

An excellent idea Assegnate 5 su 5 stelle

Very useful. I hope you keep it going.

Massive dissapointment Assegnate 1 su 5 stelle

Just biked in to say my singificant other lost her large collection of links. We are on linux so I doubt I'll be able to recover them. An extension I suggested to her so se could better manage a plethora of tabs wound up bitting me in the a**. Anyway best of luck to the developer in fixing this deal breaker of an issue as I think this a must as far as addons go. Oh well.

I love this addon and *want* to give it 5 stars. But the cake is a lie. It's a trap. Danger, Will Robinson!

The addon works well and is wonderful for a week or two. Then -- usually when I'm on deadline and really need those darn tabs -- it suddenly throws them all away and gives me a blank page. There's no backup, no restore, no recourse. Just a lot of lost work.

Yes, I've tried the company's recommended "fix" of disabling every other addon in Firefox and restarting. It doesn't work.

This isn't a bug report. It's a review that includes reference to a *known* problem that makes the addon completely unreliable and unusable. And that sucks, because I really loved this addon.

Hi, sorry about this. Did you try the windows restore method? Pasted below:

Instructions for restoring tabs using the built in Windows system restore mechanism:

1. Close Firefox.
2. Go to the store.json file located at C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\Profile Folder (will have a long string of characters for a name; one with most data in it is probably your active one)\jetpack\\simple-storage.
3. Once there, right click on the store.json file and select Properties. Click the Previous Versions tab and wait for Windows to show you older versions of the file.
4. Highlight the version of store.json from the last date before you lost your tabs. Click the Copy button and save it to the folder you navigated to, overwriting the current store.json. I copied it twice, once to the desktop just to be safe, before opening Firefox again.
5. Open Firefox and your OneTab tabs should be listed again!

This add-on has never been bad.

I'm very sad now :( Assegnate 1 su 5 stelle

I've lost my tabs :(
There isn't any option to auto backup tabs.
Consider not to use this addon.

Lost all my tabs, store.json file is empty.

upd. Unfortunately "Windows Restore" was disabled :(

Hi, did you try the Windows Restore suggestion we've made to the previous commenter? This should recover your tabs.
