I store my e-mail on a network share. Occasionally Thunderbird starts up before the network share connection is established. When this happens, Thunderbird tries to download all the mail from the server.

This just happened to me so I installed the add-on, restarted Thunderbird, and ran it. It appeared to work, flagging a large number of messages as duplicates. However when I looked in the inbox, I only had 10 messages left, with none older than 2 weeks.

I've used it on some subfolders as well where it seems better behaved.

Do not use unless you have a recent backup of your e-mail.

Used version 0.1.14 with Thunderbird 31.7.0
