Excellent addon. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (188.8.131.52).
I've always used the right button to start a gesture and never had a problem.
But since I updated from ff34 often the context menu appears at the end of a gesture. It was like that with ff37 and now ff38. Is it an known bug?
OK, with new v5.3 and that Screen Capture bullshit you lost me: I'm ufficially starting to look for alternatives.
You GREEDY devs keep pushing for a 30$ piece of crap software and you add stupid features just to justify its necessity.
Well, you DO NOT need a converter to download web videos. Good downloaders use MUXERS and leave the original streams untouched, because converting is inefficient, wastes resources and it ALWAYS DEGRADE the QUALITY of the output.
Oh, and about score trolling... most of the latest 5 starts reviews are by newly-registered users that only rates this addon and nothing else... talk about strange...
Works well on most sites, but I can download almost NOTHING from Youtube. Most of the times I get a 0 byte file or a request to install a converter.
You devs say that you don't want to FORCE anyone to install the converter. So what should I do?
I'll tell you what. I download Youtube videos with JDownloader, which requires a free MUXER (ffmpeg) and allows me to download any tipe of clip of any quality.
So why this conversion silliness? Why can't this extension use ffmpeg or MP4Box or something else and just merge the streams (which is by far the best thing)?
I've used DH for years and I like it (even the rather ugly new UI) but the fact that it's useless on the most important video site prevents me from giving it a higher rate.
Edit. Still waiting for an answer...
Still works perfectly in ff34. Great addon.
Great one. Makes it easier to find download/support pages for the extensions. Thanks.
This works perfectly on FF34, so yes, maybe you are getting old, probably you are an idiot, and surely you should read the description and try to understand what it says before you rate an addon.
A worthy successor to MenuEditor. Thank you. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.00.1-signed).
Great, but I noticed some problems with latest ff versions (I'm on 31 now). Using f2-f3 reverts to the previous searched text. Also, the global findbar feature doesn't always work: sometimes when I change tab the text in the findbar changes. Hope you find the time to fix it. Thanx. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Used it for years and it's one of the most useful. So much that It's a pain when I have to use a browser without it.
I love the "[Popup] Search for Selection with..." tool so I'd like to ask if it's possible to duplicate it: one gesture to search in new tab, one to open the search in the same tab.
Thanks for this.
Does what it says. Doesn't use online converters. Should be a default FF feature.
Great extension to customize your findbar in every way you want. I hated the new post ff24 behavior so this really is indispensable for me.
Only (trivial) thing I'd like to ask is the possibility to change the find-in-all-tabs shortcut (tried using Dorando's keyconfig but the change won't stick).
Thanks for this.
Edit (in reply to Quicksaver)
Keyconfig works for almost anything (you can change find, find-next/previous shortcuts) and it'd work even for find-in-all-tabs, the problem is that a restart resets it back to ALT+F3. For me, even a config pref would be fine, but I don't want to put you to work on something that's really not a big deal.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Just what I wanted. Thanx. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1.1-signed).
Avoid it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (5.1.14).
I've been using this extension for years and it's really one of the best. Glad there is an update because I thought the project was dead. Since that's not the case I'd like to ask for a new feature: a "fit to width/height" choice would be very much appreciated. Thanx. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.2.1-signed).
not working in ff20. another victim of mozilla genius polcy of updates. the users are grateful.
won't work in ff20.
i'm really tired of mozilla retards breaking my extensions every couple months.
Warning on closing multiple tabs still doesn't work. Reverted to ff16. Again. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4.0.3.1.1-signed).
you are right, it's a problem of the italian translation, I fixed the name and repacked the thing and now it works ok. Thanx.
Used it for years and love it but now I can't access options anymore, I get an error message:
Errore interpretazione XML: entità non definita
Linea numero 8, colonna 1:<prefwindow id="PrefsUI"
Firefox 11.0 Italian
