Neo Diggler
Neo Diggler is a small but powerful add-on for Firefox. It adds a customisable menu button next to the address bar with navigation and modification actions relevant to the current URL.

Add-on note
Has several useful features that save time: a button for quickly clearing the location--er, Awesome Bar, a list of ancestor paths of the current URL (can sometimes be used to quickly get to the main page of the site or section of the site for something you stumbled across), a link to a possible FTP site corresponding to a web site, links to search the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine and Google cache for the current URL, and a link to translate the current page through Google Translate.

Add-on note
An extremely powerful and useful extension that allows *users* to install scripts that change the appearance and behavior of (specific or general) web pages, for fun or to get around problems with the pages' code, style, etc.

Character Identifier
This extension adds a context menu item for selected text that provides more information (from the Unicode database) about the characters...

Add-on note
Nice if you're curious about all kinds of Unicode characters like I am, or if you can't tell exactly what some characters are (for instance, depending on the font, uppercase 'I' might look like lowercase 'L', or lowercase 'L' might look like number '1', uppercase 'O' like number '0', etc.).
