  • Pics were saved to the wrong folders occasionally when using batch download feature.

    Update:
Well, I copied and pasted the path in regular expression format to the path block, then I press save button to save all those pics, and sometimes it saved to the right folder properly, but sometimes it might save those pics to the second-last folder I've pasted. Don't know the cause yet.
What do you mean by "occasionally"? Could you elaborate?
  • It is the best Image download tool for Fireforx.
  • It will great if Image Picka window only show images contained in text selection like "Double-click Image Downloader" addon.
  • This addon was perfect, but I can't use this addon anymore on Firefox Android. Please fix it quick bro..
    Should be fixed at v0.12.3
  • The best image-saver app that I have found for EITHER FF or Chrome browsers. It finds all the images from the sites I use, and saves the full-res versions. The preview window that opens is PERFECT, since it displays a custom-sizeable thumbnail, image size, dimensions, etc. You can filter out all of the junk or decide if you want to save an image without navigating to the tab it's open on.
The best part is the developer mentally understands the workflow a lot of us use to save images, i.e.,
    - Have a gallery open on Tab 1
    - browse the gallery and start mouse-wheel clicking on candidate images to open them in their own tabs
    - open the Image Picka and confirm everything you want to download
    - click DOWNLOAD
    - close tabs to the right and keep going!

Most image savers don't seem to understand this, for example many assume that you want to save every image in the whole gallery, which is crazy. Or, like so many other add ons, they just don't work :(

Thanks for a great free add on that actually WORKS!
  • OMG what did u do to this excellent extension? This actually used to work. This was the best thing ever. Now it does nothing.
Please report detail information including browser/OS version to https://github.com/eight04/image-picka/issues.

0.12.0 is a big rewrite, so something might be broken.
  • Only downloads thumbnails. Doesn't download half of selection. Downloads fail.

    Useless.
Try toggling the "Download images from browser cache" option.
  • Great add-on!
  • 今年の初めぐらいから、どこのサイトでも動作しなくなっている。

  • I used image picker from legacy before and this is a very good alternative :D but when i want to save images from instagram i dont get the possibility to choose the full size resolution. Am i doing something wrong or is that feature not implanted yet?
This extension collects images that are displayed on the page. If the page only displays a small size image (thumbnail), then the extension will get the thumbnail.
  • I've been using this ever since Firefox's quantum update, when my previous image downloading addon became unavailable. This works.

My only problem is that I have no idea how to select the download location, so everything just goes to my download folder which is pretty annoying.
After the quantum update, extensions are restricted to use only the default download folder for security reasons. See also: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1342563

  • A very straightforward and easy to use extension that just works. If you have a lot of images to download from a webpage this is the extension you'd really appreciate.

P.S.> Would be much better if made to also work on mobile devices. (you can get to the image pick view, but has issues with saving and some layout adjustments for mobile views would be nice)
  • It used to work great but since a few months the picker does not pick any images, all fail. Dragging images yield corrupt files of some 100-200 bytes size.
Only with the option "try download from browser cache" fixes the drag and double click image save. Picker remains broken.
Please report the URL/extension version to Github issue tracker: https://github.com/eight04/image-picka/issues. We have observed some issues with the content blocking feature in the newest Firefox.

Also, try downgrading the version to 0.10.x. If it fixes the problem, then something went wrong in 0.11.
  • AWSOME!
