For example, I wasn't logged in to any service. I had recently performed searches for a specific, one-time product. Thinking I was protected, I logged in to Facebook, and one of the advertisers managed to remarket to me. This is clearly what the description claims it is supposed to prevent. This makes all of the past advertising I dismissed as coincidence a now clear subversion of the purpose of this add-on.

Please be aware and do a full backup before installing this add-on.
I am finding it really hard to accept that it is coincidence that after installing this add on/extension, my browser suddenly loses the ability to render images/pictures on numerous sites. Even after deactivating and then uninstalling the add-on, then rebooting the computer I still have some sites struggling to show all images.
My computer was working fine while searching gumtree for a bicycle. I switched off and went out for a while came back decided to continue looking for a cycle. On starting Firefox it gives me a recommendation for this Add-on. I use Facebook so thought it was worth a check out.
It looked like it could be useful so installed it, then when opening gumtree, NO THUMBNAILS of the items for sale just place holders, I click on the first add for a cycle and I’m met with a while rectangle where a picture of the bike should be and so on and so on, all listings devoid of pictures.
I have other sites that have placeholders instead of graphics now.
SO BEWARNED back it up before even looking at this add-on.
开发者回应发布于 9 天前Hi. Thanks for the feedback. Facebook Container blocks images that are hosted on Facebook sites - e.g., facebook.com, instagram.com, etc.
But, disabling the add-on should restore the images. Is it the same sites missing images as before you disabled the add-on?
