However, the latest browser extensions are far too invasive, often blocking the label of the field I'm trying to enter text by hand. E V E R Y field that I am trying to type in. Also, the password generator suggestion does not use the formula that you have in the application, and there seems to be no way to change it in the extension. Please bring back the more user-controlled experience of the previous extension!

posted 3 سال قبلHey there,
Thank you kindly for your review and feedback!
If 1Password shows up in places you don’t want it to, you can easily dismiss it by pressing ESC on your keyboard or by clicking the little 1Password icon on the right side of the field.
You can also go into the extension’s settings page and turn off the “Show autofill menu on field focus”, which will prevent 1Password from showing up on its own completely.
If you want to set your own passwords formula, you need to do so in the extension itself and not in the desktop app. Here’s how:
Click the extension on the top right corner of your browser to open it, select the big PLUS icon to reveal the menu and choose the “Password Generator”.
While in the generator, change the password type from “Smart Password” to “Random Password”, adjust the recipe as you see fit and when you’re happy with it, make it the default recipe for suggestions. Then 1Password will always suggest passwords based on the recipe you set up.

When entering a username or something else, sometimes I want to use the autofill feature native to the browser. 1Password, unfortunately, overlays itself right over any of the autofill options. If I press the down arrow, my entries are then directed to a 1Password pop-up and removed from the spot I am trying to fill.
This would be better if the pop-up simply appeared in the top right with the icon instead of overlaying the autofill area. Pressing the down arrow to get to 1Password should also be removed. This app will be just fine and good if they can change that.ڈویلپر کا جواب

1Password was designed to be the only password manager in your browser, so utilizing another password manager (such as the browser’s built-in autofill) will definitely cause some conflict, which is why we recommend disabling it: https://support.1password.com/disable-browser-password-manager/
In case you do wish to keep using your browser’s built in autofill, you can go into the extension’s settings page and turn off the “Show autofill menu on field focus”, which will prevent 1Password from showing up automatically inside/under fields. :) ڈویلپر کا جواب

1. Rendering on the web page instead of the browser chrome gives me less certainty that it's authentic (how do I know the website hasn't rendered or interfered with it).
2. Rendering on the web page presumably lets the web page access the contents of the dropdowns. I'm sure the 1Password team has taken every precaution to protect my data here, but it still makes me quite nervous, and generally reminds me of LastPass (and why I was so happy to move to 1Password because it _didn't_ that).
3. It generally feels less smooth: for example, it's a different keybinding to unlock it for some reason, and when the pop-up shows, pressing the down arrow sometimes skips the first entry in the dropdown for some reason.
Having said that, I'm loving the _contents_ of the new UI features, like previewing updating entries; I just wish they were part of the native app, or at least the browser chrome (but native app if possible).
P.S. I'm posting this here because the "What's new" blog posts suggest directing feedback here, and there's no other feedback links I could see on the 1Password website. I'm happy to remove this review and direct my feedback elsewhere if that's preferred. Thanks for your consideration.ڈویلپر کا جواب
posted 3 سال قبلHey timwis!
Thank you kindly for taking the time to write this review and feedback. Much appreciated!
On 1 & 2, we do take many precautions here such that normal web content cannot interfere with the pieces we render into the web page. Through use of ShadowDOM (which stops other web content from being able to see our content), confirmation prompts (for credit cards and identity items which don't have associated URLs), and never taking an account password to unlock from within the webpage, we take a large number of precautions to secure the experience.
If you do still feel nervous about the in-page suggestions, they can be set to not automatically show or not show at all using the settings under the Autofill section.
If you want to continue to use the existing unlock shortcut, connecting the extension with the desktop app will let you use that. Once connected the unlocking the desktop app will unlock the extension. The keyboard shortcut for the opening the pop-up is configurable within the settings, but we definitely understand can be hard to change when you are so used to a specific workflow for so long :)

It keeps saying "downloading" so I use the old version instead. Frustrating!

Sometimes you click the 1Pass button and the master password box might pop open. Sometimes it's a white window where you have to click a blue "Open 1Password" button, which will then have the master password box pop open. Sometimes nothing happens and I have to open the desktop app directly. It hasn't been the great, seamless experience that I remember and it feels like performance has gotten worse. Firefox is probably my biggest use of the 1Password program and the extension has felt broken/neglected for years.

It only loads vaults from 1Password.com accounts. Instead, you’ll need the 1Password classic extension: https://support.1password.com/cs/1password-classic-extension/

With LastPass, I simply type the NEW credentials in a field and when I click okay on the website, LastPass automatically recognizes that something was changed and asks me if I would like to update the database. Compare this to 1Password. I understand that I can click the "Save in 1Password" button when updating information. But if I miss this opportunity, 1Password is none the wiser. I must navigate the 1Password app, find the login, and then edit the fields manually. I left LastPass for security reasons, so I'm not going anywhere; but I would be lying if I said 1Password had a smoother experience. Seems like a simple thing to implement. Definitely increases the User-Experience. Good job on the recent update with dark mode, by the way.

Thank you for the feedback and input here! We’re definitely investigating and exploring options on triggering the update/save prompt even if you don’t click the “Save in 1Password” button.
If all goes well, you might find this feature available in a future update. :) - Rated 3 out of 5by K-darth, 3 سال قبلMukava lisäosa silloin kun salasanoja on kymmeniä. Kirjautumisen tapahtuessa 1Passwordin "pop-up" osiot vain "hyppäävät silmille". Saisi olla käyttäjän skaalattavissa tai osioissa enemmän läpinäkyvyyttä. This is the real finnish translation to english: "A nice add-on when there are dozens of passwords. When logging in, 1Password's "pop-up" sections just "jump in the eye". There should be more transparency or user scalable partitions."
What I was meaning is that when you have a site where user and password fields are narrow, the interface's pop-up covers everything. I already sent an answer to your request with edited phrases - and something sad happened. The last comment was in a wrong order. But - yes, I could help you guys to make a translation from english to finnish for 1Password as your competitor "Avast Passwords" has. I'm giving that up because 1Password seems to be a better choice. And - when it's localized, it could be THE password solution for finnish users.ڈویلپر کا جواب

With Firefox on the PC I have to enter my lengthy master pwd almost on every login to a website. Which is somewhat annoying. And occasionally I have to change a password. Which often backfires. Especially if the website asks for the old and then the new password. I had just thought out a new one and copied it to the clipboard. Then revealed the old one and manually typed it in. Then pasted the new one into the "new password" field. Submitted and changed successfully on the web site. Back to 1Password where I clicked on "Edit" the entry for the website I just changed the password for, and then tried to paste my new password into the corresponding password box. To my surprise it no longer worked and 1Password offered a new one. So now I have no recollection of the one I just changed, and have to start a password recovery process. Annoying to say the least...

posted 3 سال قبلHey Colin,
1Password pops up automatically inside fields when it is unlocked. If it is locked, it won’t pop up at all, so make sure to unlock it when you start using your browser!

posted 3 سال قبلHey there,
That doesn't sound very good, it could be that certain Firefox settings are enabled which stops 1Password X from being able to write to Firefox’s local storage which stops the extension from working.
Can you check that “Always use private browsing” and “Never remember history” are not both enabled simultaneously. At least one of these settings needs to be disabled for the extension to work.

It's realy annoying unlocking the browser addon all the time.ڈویلپر کا جواب
posted 4 سال قبلHey there,
The 1Password X extension is a standalone app that works independently from the 1Password 7 desktop app, which is why it has to be unlocked separately.
It sounds like you have been using the old companion extension previously, which connects to the desktop app and locks/unlocks with it. You can still use the old companion extension if you prefer: https://1password.com/browsers/
However, we do recommend you stick to 1Password X, as it provides a better autofilling workflow and experience, but if unlocking the extension with the desktop app is crucial to your workflow, then the companion extension is what you need for now :)

Yes I have a subscription, but my vault is stored locally and synchronized through wifi sync. Unfortunatly 1PasswordX is not working with local vaults and the local extension has less features than 1PasswordX.
It should be the users choice to work with the cloud or not. So please don't create features just for cloud users.ڈویلپر کا جواب
posted 4 سال قبلHey Andri,
Thank you kindly for the feedback, we really appreciate it!
Your information is encrypted and protected by both your Master Password and Secret Key, which makes it virtually impossible to crack with today’s technology. Furthermore, it keeps your data safe and private from everyone - even us. The data that is stored in our cloud service is unreadable and completely useless to everyone but you, since you’re the only one who holds the keys (your Master Password and Secret Key combo).
If you’d like to learn more:

- Our security model: https://support.1password.com/1password-security/
- Security audits that 3rd parties performed on our apps and cloud service: https://support.1password.com/security-assessments/
In addition, when you use our cloud service, a local copy of your data is also stored on your devices so even if we go offline, you’ll still be able to access and work with your data.
We hope that will make you feel more secure about working with our cloud service, and if you have any other questions or require further clarification on the topic, feel free to email us to support@1password.com and we’ll gladly help!
Thanks again for the feedback, we’ll forward it as necessary.

Integration for Firefox is very very poor, there are multiple situations where I want to use Password Generator but it doesn't pop-up. Also saving passwords is pain in the a** - you have to save password before logging in.
App really messes up with autofill of browser if I click arrow down to choose email address It switches to 1password app and does something.
After autofilling password app instantly clicks "enter" going to next screen which very often is a problem.ڈویلپر کا جواب
posted 4 سال قبلHey there!
Thank you for taking the time to write this review, we really appreciate it!
The integration with Firefox should work smoothly as it can be, but it sounds like you’re trying to work with both the 1Password X extension and Firefox’s built-in password manager, which opens a door to a lot of confusion and autofilling issues.
We strongly recommend you disable Firefox’s built-in password manager, then see if your experience with 1Password improves: https://support.1password.com/disable-browser-password-manager/
As for that last part where you wrote that 1Password automatically clicks “Enter” after autofilling - that is definitely not 1Password X. 1Password X will not log in automatically for you, that’s not one of its features (and that is intentional). This might be coming from Firefox’s autofilling, or from the old 1Password companion extension (which is different than 1Password X).
We’d like to help you with these issues and to clarify what exactly is happening, so if you’d like that, please email us to support+extensions@1password.com and we’ll gladly sort things out with you!
Looking forward to hearing from you.
