Where to start! Firstly, I'd like to thank Robert (the developer) for his generosity - the app is extremely cheap as apps go, and if you request a discount, one is available on top of this. It is very apparent that this app is a labour of love - Robert is constantly working on it and improving things, adding new features, etc.

As someone with ADHD and ASD, I have always had to piece-meal together the features I need to help me study effectively - half a dozen different apps / extensions, and even then they don't quite meet my expectations. Helperbird, however, offers SO MUCH more, and all in one place - you can finetune your experience to your heart's desire, without shelling out for multiple apps that were abandoned ages ago.

I have tried it on two browsers, so far, and the experience is great on each - I have to applaud Jamie's dedicated to rolling it out on multiple browsers and operating systems, it can't be a small feat.

There is the occasional quirk or bug here and there, but the sheer breadth and depth of assistance Helperbird offers far outweighs having to quit and relaunch the extension now and then. If you do come across a bug, it's a chance to give back and send a bug report and help Robert refine the experience further.

The features I particularly love are summarise, simplify, sticky notes, highlighting, and the amazing immersive reader with TTS. I also love the speed reader, which will be even better once TTS is added to it.

I have switched from Chrome to Firefox and glad this here too. 5/5.

It used to be a little rough but the Helperbird support team gave me access to the beta and can't wait for it to be released. Giving it 5 starts mostly for support and the upcoming features.

Simply amazing. I've never had an extension with so many options put together. As a teacher, I always recommend it to families of students with attention span, reading difficulties, and other specific needs, although I think it can be of use to anyone.

Talking to the Helperbird support team during their live stream was a great experience.

They gave me a preview of what's coming to Helperbird for Firefox, and I'm really excited about it.

I'd give a 5/5 rating for the current features and the sneak peek. I'll definitely provide an updated review once the new version is released.

ive used this for about a year now and its somewhat okay. its useful for somethings such as changing fonts and its text to speech but so many things are locked behind a paywall it gets a bit frustrating.

This doesn't work, I have all the permissions set. The green message "immersive reader" says it is loading, but then nothing, no reading mode... super confused.

EDIT : the reader fail on some websites with this error : "Sorry, we could not find any text on this page."
This happened on that website and some others :

Finally, I no longer have to use Edge to enjoy the immersive reader ! I'm very grateful for that.

Suggestion : atm it's a bit cumbersome to access the reader tool. Could you do something like what the Text To Speech (TTS) addon does, i.e :

Select any desired text. A play icon appears, click on it to start the voice reading.

Or maybe do what Edge does :
Select the text, then right click and click on "read aloud" in the context menu.

Anyway, thanks again for this addon, I think this will be useful to many.
