On installation Firefox asks whether to make Yandex Maps your default search engine. If you search for more than places, decline: the @maps keyword and the toolbar button work either way. You can change the choice at any time in Firefox settings, section Search.

• How to add Yandex Maps to Mozilla Firefox. Install the extension - it adds Yandex Maps (Яндекс Карты) to your list of search engines. There is nothing to set up in Firefox by hand.

• A welcome page opens after installation and after an update. There is no other background activity.
