ReallyFree collects no personal information and no browsing history.

To show its verdict dots, the extension sends only the bare domain names of the results on a search page (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo) to our own server, to look up whether each site is really free — never your search words, never full page addresses, never page content. By default it also sends an anonymous note when it checks a page you are on (the bare domain, the verdict, which rules fired, and a timestamp; the page path is removed in your browser before sending), and this can be turned off in one click. If you deliberately report a wrong verdict, that report includes the page you are reporting and the note you typed, because you chose to send it.

No account, no email, no tracking, no analytics identifiers, no payment data. IP addresses are never stored — only a salted hash is used briefly for rate-limiting.
