If you are a web developer, you typically are developing in a development environment.

Given your development environment has the base url https://dev-environment.com and your live environment is https://live-environment.com.
Now you are getting a bug report from an user of your website. To reproduce this bug, you open the URL on which the bug occurred.
To experiment with the bug and for fixing it, you would like to open the same url in your dev environment.
Without this extension you have to take several steps:
1. Copy the whole URL, but the base url
2. Open your dev environment page
3. Paste the copied URL part at the end of the dev environment
4. Load this page

With this extension, there's only one step: Click on the extension icon.
This will run the steps automatically and save your time.
